and can we talk about what a disappointment Spear has been. She disappears in big game situations. Are we stuck with her again next year?

Spear was the leading scorer on a bad team in the ACC. It's completely different when you're on a better team with at least one player that's better than you are.
The question is, can you make a good team better or, are you just a stat player on a bad team ?

To my eye, she’s only slightly better than Tess at creating her own shot vs TOP teams. Like Tess, she needs to be wide open to get her shot off, and she isn’t great at finishing at the rim. Doesn’t have a good mid-range pull up.

It was a huge weakness last year that I thought the staff addressed with Spear - a guard that can shoot AND create at high level vs top teams.

And in big games there is a reason Powell is volume shooter because she is the only guard on this team that can create offense. Spear can't Tess can't Wynn can't then throw in Puckett who can't create. Only Jackson and Powell can and today both missed much more than made. It gets easy to talk about Powell but she is missing athletic 2 that can shoot. Spears can shoot and against lesser teams get to hole but against SC Lsu to legit teams nope. In CHRIST Alone

Totally true she can get to the basket if only she could score. This roster was always suspect from day one. No post presence and point guard an unknown quantity of what you would get. We were expect maybe Wells might be effective there. Powell was expected to be the backup. Powell played well in a few games this season not today.

I keep thinking this from time to time. I feel sorry for Rickea, she really deserved a good team around her and a good run in the NCAA tournament! Such a wasted talent!

I will get people upset but did anyone keep up with how many points Powell cost us with her driving to the basket. The last 5 minutes they scored 14 points over her driving and poor shot selection. This is not the first time. I know she wants to win but she’s not 6’ tall to go down low b

You can do it if your name is ZZ. She is also many times selfish with the ball, which he isn't at all.
