Game Thread: #13/10 LSU (23-4, 10-3) @ Tennessee (16-9, 9-4 SEC) 2/25/24 12:00 pm EST ESPN

I don’t know of any contingent of fans that don’t want the LVs to succeed, to include the ones classified as negavols. But please enlighten everyone with how a late season turnaround or late tournament run negates coaching malpractice continuously displayed by this staff? Late season turnarounds should never be the norm and wouldn’t be necessary if not for coaching or lack there of.

Fine, so you'd turn down a championship trophy because the team didn't meet your regular season standards.

If that doesn't refute your first sentence, nothing will.

Kellie finally sees this as you see her future recruits our athletic ballers. Only question remains does Danny White care enough to pay money buy out and what it would cost to get right coach here. Who knows. In CHRIST Alone
Like I have said before I can accept what he does either way. We just need to get some better players in here and recruit a top ten class for 2025. If we can't do both then his decision should be easy.

It who will the coach be and will we lose the recruits we have coming with a coaching change?

I would argue not just today. She is a ball hog that misses layups, mid range jumpers, and three’s. Consistently
Never argue that Powell missed many shots but name me a guard who can create on this roster the rest get there shots blocked and can never get around any one. Wynn sure she is an athlete but doesn't have much basketball skill at all. In CHRIST Alone

Kentucky (mens BB) tends to do the late season turnaround. If you saw some improvement in the team over the season, then actually would make me feel better. Last year, Kelly got her extension due to the win against LSU, I'm sure--but it's always the same old same old. The Lady Vols are suppose to be elite. Yes, I feel that way because Pat built women's basketball and it makes me sad.
Kentucky Mbb usually has a talented roster but they are usually young, we don’t have a talented roster at all.

What a stupid response. My only goal is to see a good basketball team that is competitive with any team in the country. We currently are not, and will not ever be under current staff. If you honestly can’t understand this, then you are one that accepts mediocrity and are a huge part of the problem. Wise up

Yeah, we all saw how you ripped Darby as being useless yet had nothing to say when she ran off five quick points to get us back in it.

Such a true 💙 fan.

Not Darby, my aim has been Powell. Show me where I ripped Darby. Dare you. You can’t

I believe Danny has talked to her about talent wins go get them. Work your businesses to get more involved with NIL. Pat when she grew this program worked 24-7 for pathetic pay. Kellie with her husband make upwards towards 1 million. Get your rear in gear and go to work.

Who is winning a championship trophy? Certainly not this team.

You just said that a late season turnarounds and tournament run wouldn't change your mind. Own it.

You and your cohorts don't want Kellie to succeed at this point. If you read my post, I didn't defend her decisions in this game, especially fourth quarter. But I sure was hoping they'd pull it out.

Unlike the vocal contingent who only comment when things are going wrong and then scurry back into their holes when we mount a comeback.

Answering a retort with a bold faced lie, makes you look a fool. I will say again. Wise up

UT will make the tourney regardless. The hope should be that they get a good matchup for the first two games and play well, then play with house money after that and hopefully catch some fire. They could be sweet 16 again, after that, like I said, it would be house money. First, I’d like for them to nail down the 4th spot for the SEC tourney and win some games there to get their confidence back.

Hahaha. Mount a comeback. We Lost. Not really “ mounting a comeback “.

Just got home from such a disappointing and frustrating game. The thing that bothered me the most is that our entire offense in the 4th quarter was to have our worst shooter take all the shots. This isn't all on Powell, as the other players were stagnant. However, she often still had several seconds left on the shot clock and still went for the shot without trying to get an assist. This pattern is mostly on the coaching staff. It was clear in the SC game that SC thought it was the best defense to guard all our shooters tight and at times with double teams and leave Powell open for shots of all types. She missed almost all of these in the 4th quarter in the SC game too so our coaching staff had an entire week to work on this for the LSU game. LSU coaches actually prepared for the game and chose to do the exact same thing SC did with much success. The fact that there wasn't a sub after about three misses in a row to calm Powell down and get a different dynamic in play was another brainless decision.
The other major issue but much less frustrating is that we continuously get behind ranked teams by double digits, make a noble comeback, and then totally run out of energy in the 4th quarter. The fatigue was obvious in all areas in the 4th, as we were outrebounded in the quarter by 9 after outrebounding LSU by 4 during the first 3 quarters, we stop moving at all on offense, and our defense looked like the passive and clueless one we had for the first half of the year rather than the one we had for the first three quarters of the game. You would have thought we were the team with no bench that were playing their 3rd game in 6 days, not LSU.
Uggh. Now I have deal with my LSU family .
It's just a game, it's just a game, it's ...........my new mantra while watch LV against rated teams.
