We've nailed quite a few end of quarter plays this year. Why did we have Marta posting up in the second half? Those dribble behind the back spin moves don’t work on the block. Why don’t we have something drawn up to end the half? We gotta be 1-24 end of quarter situations and that one came from the Marta shot today.
When the coach can create plays with an expectation that he'll get the call, that's a huge advantage....even if not every call goes your way. Blair definitely coaches to that advantage. I'm pretty sure Pat did also.We did foul some today but their players are really good at creating contact then falling down and getting a foul.
And he certainly got those calls!!!! Some were obscene!! Just standing with your arms extended up,and the t&am player runs into to you and it's a bock!!!!When the coach can create plays with an expectation that he'll get the call, that's a huge advantage....even if not every call goes your way. Good effort from lady vols. Davis and Key need help. Burrell is a good player but to selfish. Would love to see Salary get Walker minutes and more of Darby less of KK.
.
Would the SEC schedule SC, MISS STATE or AM the way that they have our girls. NO, HELL NO. Our team had no control over what played out with Corid. Why not drop 2 of those games and get ready for the tournamentAnother top SEC team on the road then we have to go home and play SC this schedule really turned brutal in a hurry.
Kellie needs to gets some techs. Show your not putting up with that mess!! What has she got to lose??? Start commanding respect from those officials and quit acting like the new kid on the block!!When the coach can create plays with an expectation that he'll get the call, that's a huge advantage....even if not every call goes your way. Moral victories don't get you anything but a loss. Not sure what Kelly has to lose to try other players at pg. Horston is last one you want to play point. Do not understand that thinking at all. She is a 2 guard.
She was in their ass pretty good from the outset. May not have helped at all due to the apparent disparity of calls as the game played out.K

...brutal coaching...Sabanesque!Your 2 guard has to score. She can't score. So point is the best place to hide that deficiency.
She is highly skilled and athletic enough to get a shot within 5 ft of the basket whenever she wants. But she couldn't miss more of them if you blindfolded her.
Priority alpha through omega for the team now should be her getting in the gym and hitting all of those drives to the basket. She needs a structured regimen. And she shouldn't leave the gym until she meets certain metrics which are ramped up over time.
There was definitely some home cookin' going on. Tennessee was called for 21 fouls, while Texas A&M was called for 11. Tennessee shot 15 free throws, while Texas A&M shot 34. Does that make sense when you look at the rebounding numbers? Tennessee outrebounded Texas A&M 40-29 overall. Tennessee had a 17-5 edge when it came to offensive rebounds. That indicates that Tennessee was the physically superior team... and yet, A&M was getting all the calls. We did foul some today but their players are really good at creating contact then falling down and getting a foul.
I don't know where to play Horston because she has no skills at all shooting the ball. She is good passer sometimes and can get a few rebounds but she is around 30 percent from the field this season. That is killing us when she is taking double digit shots. She played better first half of the season. The last four games have been her worst shooting performances of the season. She is like 3 for 40 in the last three games.
