How do you improve the coach?
A better question: How do you improve the fans?
So tell me, what coach has not had games where players had a bad night and his/her team got upset? Name one. Kellie got this team to 18-1 playing without their AA candidate, and the intended focal point of the offense for most of that stretch. Against Auburn, this team had just lost another key player in Green and the anchor of their defense was saddled with foul trouble. Rae was having her worst game since coming back and the team looked flat and emotionally drained,. And they still made a run in the 3rd quarter but could not sustain it. I know, if Kellie had only taken a timeout in the first quarter, the team would have been completely re-energized, Auburn would have collapsed, Green's knee would have miraculously recovered, and the officials would have gotten together and reversed the fouls calls on Tamari. Cause TOs are magic things. What a terrible coach we have to not use them.
This game will prove to be an anomaly in terms of the lack of defensive cohesion and getting beat on hustle plays.
