Carter should not be on the list. She had to retire from playing before her college career was over. She made the right moves for herself. When healthy, she was pretty darn good on defense.

In our defense it started out in praise of this strange phenomenon called player development that's busting out all over. So naturally it drifted off into how long it had been since any of that went on. LOL probably needs it's own thread to continue the talk therapy.

I see you've minimized the experience in your own mind, which is why you experienced it as "a few" seasons. Seemed like decades to me.

IMO Miles is a player that has freed up Jordan Horston a ton just by being such a capable back up for Walker. So JH doesn't have to play much PG at all, though she does on occasion. She's in much better position to do the thing she does at 3.

BC I always need something to worry about, I'm officially worried about Walker. Lots of t.o.s the last few games, although she seems to be scoring a little better. Like Miles, not alot of scoring, but definitely when they count. Just need her to tighten the handle a bit.

I have to keep reminding myself that Walker never had primary ballhandler responsibilities before coming to Tennessee.

I agree with you, though, that lately she appears to have lost confidence in her handle against pesky defenses. Seems like she’s afraid she’s going to get it slapped away so she’s picking up her dribble in hopes of getting rid of the ball.

Hope she gets over that mental hurdle soon, ‘cause we’re going to need her to be BIGtime strong down the stretch.

You're not wrong. While it's been largely masked during this winning streak, point guard play is easily the biggest weakness on the team right now. Over the past four games, Walker has 9 assists to 20 turnovers while shooting 29% from the field. Miles has 5 assists to 10 turnovers while shooting 36%. Fans want to whine and complain that the other team is fouling -- welcome to life in the SEC. Especially on the road.

Miles' struggles are understandable as a freshman, but the experienced Walker looking all too often like a deer in headlights when facing pressure is troubling...

that! may be TK's best attribute in this game...she expects a rebound...most players expect there not to be one
