This game just makes me sad. I had such hopes that this would be a win two weeks ago. I thought it would be a National showcase for the NEW Lady Vols. The relevant Lady Vols. Sadly, that is not to be. I hate it for the program. A win here would have been great for recruiting.

The only thing one can take from that is that Striplin is a complete bust if she can't outplay Emily. That is the scary thing.

I said this a few weeks ago and there are some who get very defensive with comments like this. I think it’s a fair question. Why are they not coming to TN. Pat knew this better than anyone else - “ you don’t take donkeys to the Kentucky Derby.”

And we have arguably the best recruiter (in Coach Sam) sitting on our bench. Soon we’re gonna find out how much (or how little) that actually matters. The head coach has to close the deal. They have to want to play for the HEAD coach. Period.

I think Kellie is too conservative in that department for certain. This team is long and can press with pretty minimal effort. Would create some easy scores for us. Just jump in it now and then and surprise a team.

You really only get burned with it if you HAVE to press and give up open looks.

I don’t know anything about her personal story honestly. I just see she’s full of potential and in this day and age, its very easy to transfer out somewhere where she can be part of a championship team.
