Would like to see us work the offense more from the inside-out. Muscle it up to the rim if it's there - kick it out if it isn't. Key should be getting a lot more touches down low than she is.
If it goes inside,it ain't coming back out..

Problem is the other teams are collapsing on her in the paint, denying her the inlet pass, and daring us to beat them with 3 pointers. If we can make those, we can loosen them up inside so Key can get more touches.

If Tamari is quite a bit longer than her two or three collapsing defenders and isn't in foul trouble, I'd have the team practice (and practice, and practice, and practice, and ...) a play or two that both the guards AND Tamari know is going to end with a super high lob pass that Tamari has to jump straight up to reach. Something so high that ONLY Tamari could possibly reach without getting fouled. I'm talking about bending her knees and EXPLODING straight up and trying to catch it high. It might only work once, but, say, on an in-bounds play. There has got to be a way to take better advantage of her length on offense.

And yes, I realize Key has human ornaments hanging from her arms throughout most games, but if she were to really coil up and then explode upward sometime, she might be able to break free.

Can y'all tell I'm nervous? I babble even more than usual when I'm nervous. 🤣

I've noticed that when they get the ball low to her, and then she has to bring it up to try to get it up over her head for the shot, that is when they pounce and grab the ball and try to strip it. So they need to pass it to her over her head, assuming she has the strength to catch it there. If they throw it in so high she has to jump that high, she could be injured when she comes down on the feet of the players fouling her, as they continually do in these scrums they they hold while they try to keep her from receiving the inlet pass. I'm just thinking out loud that might be the reason they don't throw it as high as you suggest.

I fully expect we will get a constant diet of spread and drive offense until we prove we can shut it down. I think Florida is a better matchup for us than Arkansas but maybe not on their home court.

I miss the good ole days when teams like Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky and Mississippi State were door mats. I would never have given the game with any of those teams a second thought.

Sara is underutilized. It should be her, not Horston, taking 4 to 6 3 point shots a game.
