Each player needs to be in the gym early Sunday shooting Free Throws all day.

Really the take home here. Make half of those and at least it’s a one possession game

Oh well, you have to play 40 minutes to beat a team like Stanford.

Lots of opportunities to win this game, but we squandered them at the free throw line, with poor lineup choices, and defensive lapses.

Darby contributed nothing and ate up a huge number of minutes that could have gone to pretty much anyone else. Just one more player who could contribute something would have made the difference. But we had nothing in the post when Key was out.

We can't give up 70 points that is just not our game. Shooting 29 percent getting outrebounded by 10 not going to win any game.

I don’t think we would have if we didn’t have to foul so much late.

Hard fought comeback but Horston running PG is a train wreck if she could play the 2 or 3 she would be so much more effective. The much anticipated battle between Key and Brink was sad. Neither brought there game today. Lost by double figures but erased a 20 point deficit so much to be proud of. Stanford just an overall better skilled team.

You can't dig yourself a big hole and then give away 13 freebies at the line and still expect to pull it out. If it wasn't for Dye, we wouldn't even have gotten this close.

Anyone have the +/- for when Key was on the court today? She was there for the big 3rd quarter run and pretty much nothing else.

Also got out rebounded today. Mainly in the first half. When we don’t rebound we aren’t a good team at all. Will be some good film for the team to watch. Alexus in particular cannot choose when she wants to play. She needs to play 100% of the time like she did to start the 3rd quarter. She gets fatigued pretty easily. Hopefully that improves as the season goes on.

37 to 31 second half. Shooting overall was bad except from the three and they hit nine which they haven't been doing. Neither center did anything tonight but that backup center was huge for them.

Stanford missed several layups in the 3rd QTR missing shots happen but just way too many turnovers.

Well, we know who we are now, and what we need to work on. We know that we are a very good team with Tamari Key, and an OK team without her. She is the difference.

But that is now, and doesn't mean that will be true in March. When we get Rae back and continue the development of Miles, Puckett, Horston, and others, we will be a very dangerous team.

The plays that loom large in this game. The Darby and Rennie defense in the first half. The quick shot that gave them a chance to make a three pointer to end the third. 13 missed free throws. The three threes by Pretchel. That totals about 24 points they got and 13 we missed and that doesn't even get into 30 percent shooting.
