I never said that though I should have. UConn had to three games postponed, not cancelled.According to @Bballnut1952 Uconn doesn’t cancel games!
This was a different crew than the Auburn game...that was Dee Kantner, Brian Enterline and Fatou Cissoko-Stephens. The crew for the Arkansas game was Felicia Grinter, Karen Preato, Brian Garland.
I think you can say Ramirez has improved or at least played better in this game. Otherwise hard to come up with any evidence that they have improved more. We still outrebounded them by 20 and it was 16 the first time and we shot a better percentage than they did just like the first game. The only reasonable way I can see they are more improved is that they made 10 threes instead of seven and most of that was Ramirez having a little better game than last time. It's reasonable to say Arky has improved more than we have since the first game. But the context is we started way ahead of the curve of what we were predicted to be, espec without Rae, and they started out worse than predicted. Our progress has gotten a little stuck the last couple of games and they're on fire. So we sort of met in middle. Except we won.
I think its their 3 straight lopsided SEC wins including by 14 over LSU. They've scored in the 90s in 2 of those, 80s against us. Playing their game successfully right now. Or were, until last night.I think you can say Ramirez has improved or at least played better in this game. Otherwise hard to come up with any evidence that they have improved more. I can agree they are improved team don't agree they have improved more than us since they still couldn't beat us. Both games were totally similar we were behind going into the fourth quarter and won both times. Regardless I'd rather be 8 and 1 in the league instead of 4 and 4.I think its their 3 straight lopsided SEC wins including by 14 over LSU. They've scored in the 90s in 2 of those, 80s against us. Actually, Ramirez played essentially the same game the second time as the first. Five made threes in each game, 29 points in 44 minutes last night and 26 points in 40 minutes in the first game, 8 rebounds last night and 6 in the first game, 2 steals in each game. I would say that the player with the significant improvement was Samara Spencer. 17 points, 4 rebs, and 4 assists last night compared to 8 points, 6 rebs, 0 assists, and 1 steal in the first game. She did play 43 minutes in last night's game versus 25 in the first game, which may be a sign of Coach Neighbor's trust in her.

Hard for me to exclude her from POY consideration. She has killed us both times.

Yeap! Ask Ole Miss..oh yea and UGA..Tennessee needed 5 extra minutes, at home, which is a pretty significant difference for starters.
Arkansas also shredded the Lady Vols' vaunted defense for 83 points, easily a season high. Even taking away the OT period, Arkansas scored 75 which is a season high for regulation... just a game after giving up 71 to lowly Auburn. Either Tennessee's defense has regressed, or teams have figured them out (or both). Meanwhile, Arkansas has been playing their best ball of the season.
The crowd made a huge difference, which Kellie acknowledged after the game. As I asked before, do you really think Tennessee wins this one if they weren't at home?
Does it matter??? We have beat them twice, let it go!Tennessee needed 5 extra minutes, at home, which is a pretty significant difference for starters.

They still lost the game so accept it. That is 2 to 0 for Tennessee is the better team. Your contempt for Tennessee is something abnormal. Yes we already won at their place.Tennessee needed 5 extra minutes, at home, which is a pretty significant difference for starters.

I don't see where they have improved anymore than we have since we won down there by seven and we won again by three. We outrebounded them by 20 and down there 16. They lost both games if you want to say they improved I can agree but not more than Tennessee cause they still didn't win and if we played them again think we would beat them again. Arkansas defense was worse than ours we outscored them.Nice deflection. You said there wasn't any evidence Arkansas hadn't improved more. There is plenty of evidence, you just choose to ignore it.
Yes, Tennessee got the win which is the most important thing, but it's clear their defensive issues against Auburn wasn't an anomaly...
You mean 4 games? Marquette, Depaul, Georgetown, and Villanova. And they were postponed, I wonder why? Could it be because there is a likelihood that their star could return just in time for those games? Oh I guess that's the conspiracist in me!I never said that though I should have. UConn had to three games postponed, not cancelled.
One because Marquette had Covid issues and the next two because UConn had Covid issues. But you would know that if you actually understood my previous post on this.
And in the Big East the conference postponed the games, not the teams. Don’t know if that is true in other conferences.
The UConn web site moved that game on their listed schedule to where it was actually played. So it was my mistake to not include DePaul. See how I did that? Admit I made a mistake? You mean 4 games?
