Just watched my first whole/entire LV basketball game since Coach Summitt. Wow, what an impressive team and very impressed with Coach Caldwell. This team is really fun to watch! Great brand of basketball being established by Coach Caldwell!

I think it’s important to remember Talaysia Cooper sat out all last season and barely played her frosh year.

She had some bad turnovers, but she was literally our go-to (and best defender) in the biggest game of her young career. She’s being asked to do a lot!

I just don’t get how cooper was limited at SC. she’s so so good. avg 2.9 at sc and 19.2 here. she’s worked her butt off to be where she’s at.

85 shots Tennessee to 69 shots Florida State. They shoot 45 percent we shoot 40 percent. 9 threes to their 4 but they win the foul line 11 to 2. We won the boards. We needed someone that could guard Latson she took Florida State on her back and almost won the game.

We caught a break there, for sure. I was 100% certain the last shot would be Latson’s. Seriously, that seemed like the safest bet on the planet.

I like our chances against Iowa much better. This is the game I was worried about because of exactly what Latson did.

With Gordon and Latson you cannnot press FSU. Just a no go and we were smart enough to not do it most of the game.

Iowa is a team we can press. Olsen was out against BYU so that changed things. But they did not handle the pressure well from them at all. Lots of panic. I think we will be able to turn Iowa over, even Lucy. FSU guards are just too athletic and handles are too good.
