And this is why basketball would be a better sport if you didn't get "fouled out" [ejected, to the bench] just for getting X number of common fouls. Is there any other sport there the ref will sit you if you get too many generic fouls? Soccer it only applies to yellow cards, not to common fouls, and that's the closest example I can think of.

Sometimes a soccer ref will give a player a yellow for a common foul if they’ve been fouling too much in their judgment.

Idk, I think basketball would be a pretty tough watch if there were unlimited fouls, tbh.

Spot on... we are going to see games this year where a ref hasn't been exposed to this style of play. Can't wait to see Ole Miss & Lady Vols play ball and watch how the ref(s) call it.
Having said that, we can't get into a free throw shooting contest with Iowa
