Game Thread: Iowa v Lady Vols, Sat Dec 7th ; Shark Beauty Women's Champions Classic; 7PM; FOX network TV; WIN 78-68

Caldwell has a really low buyout. That's all I have to say about that. I'd hate to see a team pay her what's she's worth because she may be on the next Greyhound out of town. Cheapskate Vols may not be able to afford a coach like her. They still owe Harper money, so they probably can't afford Kim.
What are you blabbing about? It was a high risk hire with a built-in escape hatch. Her contract also has a clause that automatically makes her the highest paid in the country if she wins a title.

She’s not going anywhere. We will pay her what we need to. Plus I think she knows this is it for her. She has the opportunity of a lifetime. If you bring the Lady Vols back you’ll be in the same rare air as Geno and Pat.

and it will continue to be a knee-jerk reaction until she forces it to be a conscience one...Not once did I see her approach a ref after a questionable call...the camera would have caught it or the announcers would have verbalized it.

As a coach your players will ultimately shut down if you don't defend them. Cooper showed frustration with being called for ticky-tack fouls last game,

It WILL happen..Coach Kim has to do her part

ANd no, to those of you new to here,,,I am not a negavol
I absolutely am 100% behind coach Kim and staff,,,but, I am a coach and that is what I post as. And if I see a weakness I will call it
You need to rewatch, she was approaching the ref early on, they even had it in one of the highlights as it went to commercial. You will see it on your second time thru.

She has some performance based clauses though, like if she wins a natty immediately becomes the highest paid women’s coach.

Results will drive her pay up, and that’s exactly what she & Danny agreed when she took the job.

And that is a fantastic way to design a contract for a young star like Kim.

You have 10 players with 15+ minutes, playing time and you didn't see much subbing... I've watched Bball for years and you just don't see 10 players getting 15+ in a nick and tuck game. JMO
Going to look really normal though with five starters getting 27 to 29 and five subs getting the rest. Foul trouble on three players prevented that somewhat tonight.

Troll alert!!

I’m so glad we got her now because there’s about four SEC schools that might be going through a coaching search next spring.

Arkansas, Texas A&M, Mizzou and Georgia come to mind.

Yep I think A&M, Arkansas and MIZZOU for sure. I’ll bet Abe gets one more years then it’s over.
