Great win tonight. I don’t get to watch it. I went to a Candle Light service, at the Cove Methodist Church. Just south of a small town in Georgia. Chickamauga Georgia, about 15 miles south of Chattanooga. They were having their 152nd Anniversary. Hope my girl Puckett can pick it up. As always go Lady Vol’s.

They said post game that the Vols forced 30 turnovers for 42 points.

Found an Iowa site and one post said “if not for all the turnovers this game would have been a blowout”. Huh?

It is. And Rickeas teammate Azuri Stevens. A UConn grad.

We shot 39 percent from the field and 24 percent from the three. Just got to figure out a way to get those percentages up with better looks and the right shooters. Were winning but it is neck and neck with a good team.

Her system takes about 15 games into the season before players are in a comfort zone with the constant subbing and the 110% effort the whole 2 minutes you play, rest then rotate. Once they have been through that many games it will be 2nd nature. They have played a lot of ball in their young lives but not this style, buckle up its going to be a fun season.

What you can see is we have strong coaching. Very demanding coaching just what you need. She has instilled effort and toughness in this group and they work the entire game. The way they finished the last two game when they were on the line is something we haven't seen from Tennessee in a while.

What I need to see is some of that "toughness" defending her team when the zebras start lopsiding calls

If we had shot 50 percent instead of 39 it would've been a blowout. We forced almost all those turnovers they couldn't handle our pressure that well.

If you cause 30 turnovers vs your opponent and take 27 more shots than them you won’t lose many games. Great win for LV’s.

She was part of four plus turnovers on defense.

A great win. What a magical 4th quarter! It showed that our effort, system, coaching, and our growing chemistry is working!! When Coop is in there, it just lifts the team to a new level. No one can stop her and she can stop everyone! Tess, 3 threes and 2 steals and yet another positive =/- ratio. She is the zone rather than in her head. Hope she inspires Puckett and Jewel to join her in the zone. All smiles now (unlike the first quarter).

Along with the 3 steals she had tonight. She is sneaky and she closes traps extremely well in the run and jump. Another thing about Tess is she doesn't turn the ball over much. I think she has 2 turnovers on the season.
