We'll get seven teams in don't know about eight like Creme has it, but 7 SEC teams will make the NCAA
Women's Bracketology: Top of S-curve is all about the ACC
I too want to see Justine play more,,but this late in the season we need to be working on the "Finish the kill" mentality it takes to win the tournament roundsNot negative if it’s true? Perfect time to get Justine road game experience, let her get more tape on herself to see where she can improve against teams not wearing orange.
No I think it will be Arkansas and Georgia. Miss St might be out with that loss to Missouri. I don't believe Creme's or Sports Madness that says eight but seven will get there unless they all collapse and lose all three games each. Which since some play each other would be impossible. If it`s 7 that window will be very small for the 6th and 7th team.
Up 20 is it better to play her of out more minutes for others to get a high ankle sprain/other injury…then you’re faced with the backlash of not pulling your players and costing a potential post season run.I too want to see Justine play more,,but this late in the season we need to be working on the "Finish the kill" mentality it takes to win the tournament rounds
So although I want to see the deep bench used, we are 3 games from the end of the season
NOW is the time to get very stingy and very purposeful with PT
And the SC game will be a barometer for our tournament hopes,,,whether we like it or not, it will be used project and define us.
We went up five places in the NET rankings by winning a road game against a Q1 opponent by 20 points. That is a lot more important than playing Justine.Up 20 is it better to play her of out more minutes for others to get a high ankle sprain/other injury…then you’re faced with the backlash of not pulling your players and costing a potential post season run.
agree unless upset before gamecocks.I too want to see Justine play more,,but this late in the season we need to be working on the "Finish the kill" mentality it takes to win the tournament rounds

KJH is in a dang if you do, dang if you don't position on this and several other fronts. But it's of her own making. There's legitimacy when we play well to the argument of "where has that been hiding". If we do make a tourney run (please, please) that will only be amped up. But I'm sure KJH and all of us would rather have that question than have it never happen.Wait, this whole season has been a giant rant against Kellie for substituting too much and not giving her key players time to gel and not using those valuable minutes even in lopsided games to get her key players in synch. So, now she is doing just that and you are now saying she is not substituting enough. Danged if you and danged if you don't I guess.
Very good observations. If you watch men's games, one of the announcers' go to stories is that they did fitness track Santi during a game and he runs like 5 miles. Probably the same for Jordy. One thing you said earlier that I really notice now is that Jordy is a very "lopey" runner, as opposed to RJ's straight ahead gazelle. I wonder if that's less efficent and therefore takes more effort. RJ runs the court in about 6 uber athletic strides.I am sure if we compared their fitness trackers, Jordan is putting in more steps.
Regarding Justine, KJH does a really odd thing with her, did it last night and I've noticed it a couple of times before. She'll tell Justine to go in, she gets up and starts toward the table then KJH pulls her back. Maybe it's a situational sub and she changes her mind but it happens not just when we're looking for a late quarter 3.
Let me address that the SEC is a bad conference. According to the NET Rankings the SEC is the third best women's basketball conference in the country.
I always find it fascinating that middle-aged or older men have such keen and infallible insights into how 17 and 18 year old women basketball players make their recruiting decisions.
Define middle age? If you’ve never had a kid be recruited I’m not sure you would understand.
In 42 years of coaching I have heard/seen every whim that a teenage girl has.
On the court I have dealt with mean girls, primadonnas, elite athletes, elitist, gifted, not gifted, etc...et and I do mean etc,,,,,
On some years I Atlanta I had as many as 7 teams in a year, with two summer schools and 2-3 mini camps..that's well over a hundred "keen and infallible insights" in just one year.
Don't think you have to "be one to know one"
Age notwithstanding
there is no such thing as a "little girl",,they are "miniature women"
In industrialized societies where life spans are generally longer, middle age is usually defined as 45 to 60 give or take a few years. Happy now? Was that really the relevant issue?
I have two kids recruited for college soccer but again why is that relevant? What is it I am supposed to understand exactly. When my kids were recruited, they looked at a number of factors but playing time was not a big consideration. They were confident that they could work their way into the line-up but they also wanted to be surrounded with good so they understood they might have wait a year or two before their time came.
And you know what, other kids being recruited might have entirely different outlooks and criteria, cause you know people are different.
you left out humbleYou never seem to notice, that my posts are not directed at you. I was responding to Majors.
But, I obviously was not referring to you. You sir are no mere middle aged man!!!!
You are the female high school basketball player "whisperer". You are an omnipotent force who sees all, knows all, feels all. You and only you can see into the souls of these young women, into their dreams, fears and hopes. Only in the presence of your munificent gaze, can these players feel understood, safe and secure and capable of recognizing and fulfilling their potential.
Happy now? We aim to please at Madtownvol Inc.
