Game Thread Lady Vols at (#15) Indiana

I wish they showed this game on TV. Sounds like Tennessee was clutch in the end hitting shots when they needed and getting stops when it mattered in the 4Q. This was a huge win...first big win in the KJH era, so congrats to her!

If Burrell, Horston and Davis can consistently score, they will be dangerous for any team that plays. That includes UConn and SC. Not saying they will win, but those three have the game to keep Tennessee in any game. If they get something out of the post, they would be in great shape.

That is a huge if. I'm hoping Emily comes on and challenges for more playing time.

I saw where Danielle Patterson, ex ND player and highly recruited by UT played, but not sure how much. I always wondered why she left ND with a good shot at starting her junior year.

Am I the only one concerned by how many wide open 3s we gave them? I cringed every time we were in a zone.

Hoosiers shot 2-27. They were the mirror of the LVs against WV. For that game, the conventional wisdom was that WV was smart to pack the paint because the LVs were not hitting from outside and so WV kept giving us the open shots. The consensus was that Kellie was completely out coached. Well, the logic works in reverse as well. A smart coach is going to dare an ice cold shooting team to keep firing away from beyond the arc.

No field goals in last 5:04. Too many threes.
I was listening to the game and not watching .What happened after Lady Vols grew the lead to 16 points.....they started to turn the ball over time and again and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a bass fiddle ....Did Indiana pick up their defense with more pressure .....took too many 3's ?

That’s great and all, but I still think we gave up too many WIDE OPEN 3s. That’s my problem, they weren’t contested.
