Indiana likes to come out the gate scoring quickly,,,Berger, Holmes, and Patberg are their 3-headed monster, they combined for 48 or Indiana's 68 points. With 42 of their 68 points in the paint...look for UT to go big early and stop the IU inside scoring attack... I predict the starters to be Davis, Burrell, Horston, Key and Green....Look for Key/Green to score 30 between them,,,Jordan will shut down Berger and Rennia will reemerge with 20 points,,,,Burrell will continue to play solid and populate the entire statline
If the starters I want to start, do start,,look for them to come out of the gate like a top ten team and make a statement to the org that it's time to let loose the veterans....The reason I think Key and Green willl have big games, is they have been questioned recently and UI scores in the paint,, that said, this will be an opportunity to really stand out.
We're fixing to see the Lady Vols we have missed for a while folks!
Coach Jumper's prediction: UT 84 UI 68
@Coach Jumper Kellie also just used a timeout to stop momentum...
She is really sending a message to Key and KK Emily is really getting minutes....
Davis, Burrell, Horston and good defense won this game. Of course, the other players made their contribution. Kellie deserves a shout out also. She learned from the WVU game.
Davis 19 and 15 rebounds, Burrell 18 and 2 rebounds. Davis played 38 minutes today.
I think Horston should remain in the Starting line. I truly wanting on her to have a break out game.
Davis 38 minutes - incredible return to form
Burrell 36 minutes - great game
Hoston 35 minutes - filled the stat sheet, great game
Suarez 34 minutes - lots of potential, looked gassed at times
Key only 18 minutes due to foul trouble but led the team in +/-. Her stat line basically sucks. But we were +16 when she was in. +16!
...but Emily may rise to the challenge.
Am I the only one concerned by how many wide open 3s we gave them? I cringed every time we were in a zone.
Really rooting for Saunders to earn more playing time.
we need a new post coach.
