I’m sorry to hear this. Had a feeling she’d be out with an injury. That’s kinda her MO. She’s sustained some sort of injury that has limited her floor time every year of her long career. She’s either very unlucky or very breakable.

What was a pretty deep team just got a lot thinner. So bummed to hear about Keyen. Injuries are the worst.

I think three 6'4/6'5 players is still pretty good. Really, Key and KK should be enough for most games. As long as they can play 25 min per game, it should be fine with them plus Suarez and either Burrell/Davis playing at the 4.

Indiana is a tough team, I think they needed to tonight. Probably won’t have to play them such heavy minutes against some of the lower SEC teams if the bench can produce and defend.

Is this Kellie's biggest win as coach here? Credit to her and the team for not folding and picking up a much needed quality win. Who cares if wasn't pretty? Don't complain about a top 15 road win.

To that point, credit to Rennia Davis as well. It isn't a coincidence that Kellie picked up her biggest win in the first game Davis finally played like an All-American.

Of course we can't have nice things without disappointment, and the news about Green sucks. Davis will now likely have to play some spot minutes at center in small-ball lineups as they're getting nothing from the post players right now...

Oh, I heard ya. And since you brought me into it, how about we look at your "predictions" for this game.

Score 84-68. Actual 66-58. Wrong.

The starters to be Davis, Burrell, Horston, Key and Green. Green is hurt. Wrong.

Look for Key/Green to score 30 between them. You were close. They scored 2 points between them. Granted, Green didn't play, but I figured you had to have known that. Wrong.

Jordan will shut down Berger. I didn't see the game so I don't know if she even guarded Berger. But whoever did, did a great job. Unknown.

Rennia will reemerge with 20 points. Oooo....you just missed on this one. She had an all-american type game. Close but Wrong.

Burrell will continue to play solid and populate the entire stat line. Well, this is a tough one to call. She did score 18 points so I would say that is solid play. Right. However, she only had 2 rebounds and 1 assist. So populate the entire stat line? Wrong.

So, what was your score? Well, 1 right, 1 unknown and 5 wrong.

Like I said, you get a lot of credit for putting yourself out there with predictions. I learned a long time ago never to do that on a message board.

If forced to choose between Green's offensive production vs. Key's defense, I'll go with Key 100% of the time. No disrespect to Keyen, but Key is the identity of Tennessee's defense, and any offensive shortcomings are more than made up for her ability to completely disrupt the opposing team on defense. Even if she is invisible on offense, I'd want her on the court as much as possible. Against a team like SC or MSST that has size inside, Key would make much more of an impact.
