Game Thread Lady Vols at Arkansas

That Jessica Jackson is a really, really good player.

Still, inexcusable loss for the Lady Vols. Believe it or not, this will probably result in a closer game vs. ND than if they won...though I still expect ND to win.

Arky coach noted that only one of his players was offered a scholly to Tennessee. Go figure.

Can't wait for the press conference

She will just be repeating the same thing she has said all year...and our "Big" wins Oregon State and Mizzou are both not very good and we just had better athletes and the mizzou coach played us in man instead of zone :eek:lol:

The dynamic duo combined for 1 assist and 9 turnovers. But hey, they shot a combined 7/25 (28%). I guess as long as they get enough shots off it doesn't matter if they go in or if the team wins or loses. The problem may not be Holly!

It is holly. This team has made the same type mistakes for years not just this year. No player improvement and same sorry mistakes and lack of fundamentals every year.

They looked like they've never played against a zone before. The problem is absolutely Holly.

I have supported Holly, and I'm normally not in favor of firing a coach midseason, but sometimes, it's the right move.

Well...Mizzou did beat Miss State tonight, so they aren't bad. But Tennessee is bad. When they lose to ND, it would be hard to keep them in the Top 25.

24 turnovers against an unranked team.

Coaching substitutions were horrible. Nia got WAY too many minutes for being the player she is in general and for being out for so long. It's laughable that Holly puts in Dunbar to try to help us get back in the game in the final 2 minutes yet WON'T play her meaningful minutes during the heart of the game. I wonder if Dunbar is thinking "screw you" to herself the whole time. I know I would.

The offense at times literally stands around with no one moving - even the player with the ball.

What scares me the most is that no amount of experience will help this team get better because they don't have an offense. You can't build chemistry in a fictitious offense. Average talent teams with good offensive schemes get better with experience and developing chemistry. We will never develop that with this coaching staff and lack of an offense.

What do you mean when they dry up, the process has already started with the 2016 class.
Agreed but there are a LOT of very good players in 2017 and I know we are going to get at least a few of them. 2016 was tough for sure. It's been a long time since we threw out a bagel in recruiting.

I remain optimistic that we will land some good players in 2017. Not sure what the line from the coaches will be, but I have hope...

Lol. Imagine if the exact players who play for UCONN played for Tennessee and the players that play for Tennessee played for UCONN. Here's what would happen: UCONN would still play like UCONN and Tennessee would still play like Tennessee because of coaching. Tennessee has better players overall IMO than darn near every team in the country. Teams would kill to have players like Diamond or Russell. Our coaching staff doesn't develop them or put them in an offensive scheme that would allow anyone to be successful.

Loss to ND, especially if it's close considering our current ranking (10-15 point range) and I bet we only drop to about 20 or 21... We only dropped one spot after the loss to unranked Florida.

They would be better off having Holly stay in the locker room and let Diamond run the show. It couldn't be worse, and it would at least put some life into the team.

I imagine she told Diamond to quit shooting so much and get the ball inside during the halftime speech...with Tennessee leading due to Diamond's shooting.

Holly needs to go ..We haven't been good in years.. Even when we've made the tourney I knew we had no chance because of Pats sickness that was going on a lot longer than people think..Hart needs to pull the plug soon..I stop watching because its so hard to take.I've had many memories of watching the lady vols through the years and I always knew we had a shot and at times enjoyed it more than football.. It just makes you wonder and think of life in general .A person can dedicate their lives to something and then it be destoyed so quickly...Makes you wonder what is truly worth your time in this short life..Then the kicker you lose your memory and most times can't remember your own life..It is truly a tragedy.. I've seen Pat recently and it just breaks my heart...

Dave Hart gave Pat and the LV Nation what they wanted and now he's the bad guy. Funny how that works.

Now..if no change is made after this season, then Hart deserves the heat for sure.
