We are in a dogfight with a really bad team.

Some of our plays have been good the last few possessions but our execution has been bad. They don't understand angles and force passes too often.

No way are they going to be able to hang with Notre Dame on Monday with the way they have been playing these last couple of games and it's very worrisome that they continue to struggle against teams they should beat.

Burdick has been TERRIBLE this year. She just let a miss. state player outwork her for a rebound /twice/ and then score. I don't know why she is even playing. She is lackadaisical on defense and has been clueless on offense. I used to think that she was a pretty savvy, versatile player--but for whatever reason, she is not helping at all this year. Conn. would beat this miss. state team by 35; we'll be lucky to win.

We play a zone defense and it can be pretty effective--but we give up a lot of offensive rebounds.

Why is Warlick playing Burdick and not Jones (or Russell)? Those two have issues, too, but at least Jones is more athletic than Burdick and a much better defender. We go long stretches without showing much chemistry.

I guess she thinks Burdick is more valuable by getting her shot blocked on one end and then going down and fouling her player for a 3-point play.

This team will be lucky to make the sweet 16 much less the final four. To many issues with turnover s and poor defense.

Glad they pulled it out but utterly disappointed in tonight's effort. I didn't see much improvement anywhere really. I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that being in a close game away from home that they actually win will help their confidence and "get the monkey off their back" but it's REALLY hard when they play like this. The substitutions were awful in this game...Graves needs to be playing...period. They forgot about Russell in the second half (again). Carter should be playing instead of Burdick. Yes, Burdick made some field goals when we needed but Carter can hit those. In the first half when we just got up by 10-12 and Graves had just scored back to back they immediately pull her (and a couple others) and we start sucking again. Less subs...more fight. This game was exhausting to watch!
