So Tennessee had two top 5 wins on the road this year, which is the first time since forever. I don't know if Parker's teams ever did that.

They have wins against ND, SC, MSU and Stanford...yet have 10 losses on the season.

And I'll add...I loved watching the team play close to their potential! Nared has been my favorite player all season...even when she isn't hitting her shots...she is fighting for rebounds! If Nared and Diamond play as well together as they did today going forward...they have a chance in the SEC tournament. Russell could be seen in position to rebound today...under the basket...instead of 16 feet outside guarding players on the perimeter! Awesome!

She is probably the reason we won her 17 points is usually 0 points so you take those away and this game is close.
We got about the usual scoring from the big three so what Meme and Reynolds does usually determines if we win or lose.

they tend to play down to teams at times,why ? I have no idea

When you look it up you see when Reynolds and Meme or Middleton score 25 or more points it is a win. Today those three had 23

We'll know with the games coming up if we start looking inside again. I like spreading it out and driving the ball it seems to work everytime we do it.

The big three can't usually score enough points to win games. They need help from Middleton, Reynolds, and either Qui or Jackson. When those four get less than 10 point it is a loss.

When we came out and literally looked at Mercedes the entire first possession of the fourth quarter, I was like what the heck is going on? Luckily we got bailed out with a foul call late in the shot clock.

I was listening to Mickey and must have been crunching popcorn to loudly - maybe he said first road win against a top 3 team? Last time was in 2004 against #1 Duke at Cameron.

Anyway, this was an inspiring win. I hope they play with this much fire and this much joy for the rest of their games!

I don't mind them looking to get the ball to MR,it is the passing that bothers me

I am sure that was Holly in the huddle saying go inside. She probably had nothing to do with what happened was certainly the players deciding to take over and make plays.

This win should give us a lot of confidence heading into March. DD and Nared will have to be ready to play at least 35 mins a game. We need them on the floor.

Well I give credit where credit is due, the ladies played a hell of a game. Maybe we should only play ranked teams, evidently we play much better than we do playing none ranked teams. If we can just keep on playing the way we played today, we have a super chance in both the SEC and NCAA tournaments.

Holly has to find a way to get the Lady Vols to play mediocre teams with the same vigor and emotion as they have playing against highly ranked teams. At the top of their game the Lady Vols are no less than an NCAA second seed team. It is not too late to make a serious run.
