When we came out and literally looked at Mercedes the entire first possession of the fourth quarter, I was like what the heck is going on? Luckily we got bailed out with a foul call late in the shot clock.
I am sure that was Holly in the huddle saying go inside. She probably had nothing to do with what happened was certainly the players deciding to take over and make plays.
Didn't see the game, but from y'all's descriptions, sounds like maybe that was why they started the offense going into Mercedes. It slowed the game, gave a breather for our girls before kicking into the offense. Also sounds like it kept State in a defensive position that allowed our offense to flow through penetrating individuals the way it did.
I guarantee you this coaching staff has researched the history of basketball looking for tricks and schemes that would allow this team to "burn fewer calories" over the course of 40 minutes.

Well in this game, other than a few specific plays, we didn't try to force it to Mercedes like we have been and the offense looked much better. I'm not sure what good it does to "burn fewer calories" when you lose as much as we have this year...
I honestly hope that it's the result of the coaching staff coming around and realizing that Nared and Diamond are the, hands down, go to scorers. Maybe making
Mercedes earn her points through rebounding and play, rather than giving her the ball every play, will force her to be more aggressive.
I really hope this isn't "the players doing their own thing".
The LVs have been subpar in their last two outings, despite wins.
I look for them to put together a good all round game against MSU.
Nared breaks out of her funk; Jordan finds her groove to help DD and MR. The LVs squeak out a close win against another top 5 top.
guard play is a big question mark for this team
I remember lsu beating us with a very short bench after having played the play in game on Thursday.LVs are the only team that has beaten the top 4 teams in the SEC. If they had a double bye, they would be in a great position to win the SECT. That extra day of play and a short bench will be a tough disadvantage to overcome.
