Game Thread Lady Vols at Missouri

Wow, what a missed opportunity that half was. They could have had almost 50 points relatively easily. They're going to wish they had those points before this game is over.

Warlick needs to shorten the bench. Our MO is to come out and play good defense, get a lead--but we can never put teams away. We start standing around on offense and defense, lose our intensity, lose our rhythm, miss shots--and suddenly it's a close game again. We do this game after game.

I have said this repeatedly from day one. This business about wearing out an opponent by playing everybody is malarky. It leads to what we see in this game plus a superior opponent like a South Carolina just bulldozes you out of the way. Figure out who your best 5 is Holly and play them to death. It ain't effin' rocket science.

DeShields was 1-9 that half. That's absurd. She's too good to have terrible halves like that. She should take the ball to the rim more and draw fouls.

Missouri is really spreading the court. Got to be alert for back doors and cross court passes for a three.

She needs to go with 8 max and that would leave out Reynolds, Jackson, and Middleton.

Cooper can let Carter rest a few minutes and Dunbar can do the same for Russell and Graves.

Keep the same lineup in the game, Warlick. Don't sub!

Nared is athletic but doesn't really have her game together yet. DeShields has smartly taken the ball to the basket--and scored.

They need to fire that little official under the basket. She calls a foul every time someone drives no matter what.

Why would we pass into what is obviously going to be a double team? It-is-not-there.
