I think yes. She has a lot of health issues. But she played more within herself. Not trying to do to much. Let the game come to her. That is what Harrison needs to do. She was forcing too much.

If you had told me that we would score 77 points tonight I would have put the game in the win column. Our offense was, out side of Izzy missing a lot of close ones, really good tonight. But we couldn't stop ND from scoring. 58% shooting for ND. That's unacceptable defense.

Not blaming it all on Izzy but those missed layups changed a lot of things. When she missed they got out and ran and scored.

If Holly can get Harrison on track we can finish well this season. Harrison needs to let the game come to her. Run the offense and get good shots. If we just dribble down the court and feed into Harrison everyone is going to key on her. For about the first 5 minutes of the second half that is what we did and Holly finally stopped it but it was too late and we weren't going to catch.

yup and its not like it was their whole team we had to stop.
loyd was consistently open for 3's and backdoors all night.

Im sorry but Holly Warlick is not a top ten coach. Her players are. They just need a coach. All Holly knows is defense and her team didn't play good defense consistently. Holly's down fall is she doesn't know how to get her players to play offense and defense.The give and go is not in her playbook and ND kill her with it. Holly's players don't play with confidence because they know she can't lead them to wins against top 10 teams on the road.

Warlick should have played ZONE the entire game. We can't stop ND's offense in man defense--they are too good for us. Big mistake and here's why: You don't give up layups with a zone defense. They may score, but they have to make outside shots, not layups. ND kills us with back door layups.

Not until she wins that top 10 on the road. I see some gradual improvement in her but she should have stopped that Harrison crap early tonight and she didn't react fast enough. Also, she took too long to make the adjustments on the back door. Holly you can't react slowly in these big games.

ND embarrassed us the last two times we played them before tonight--and tonight they killed us in the same way. Should play more zone--might have slowed them down zone. They KILL our man defense.

Harrison's missed shots really hurt. I was surprised how poorly our defense gave up all those baskets as well. I guess maybe we aren't as good on defense as I thought. Maybe we can get em back in the tournament on a neutral court

i try not say anything negative about Holly bc I'm a Lady Vols fan and she's going to be our coach no matter what people say but we didn't make any halftime adjustments. Not having Jones was huge bc she could have gave Carter a break. Carter and Jones are the only ones that could at least try to contain Jewell.

you blame Holly because as a coach you take her out and sit her next to you after 3 missed chippys in a row, you dont let it get to 5 or 6 before you decide to sub her out, imo Massengale & Izzy played a lot longer than they should have tonight

McGraw is such a good coach she used our aggressiveness against us and we reacted too slowly. Holly has to get better at that. The first time Holly saw a back door she should have called a time out and said I better not see another back door dammit.

Alyssa Thomas at Maryland proved that you can play like a champion despite poor coaching. We don't have that assertiveness except maybe Draya Carter on defense. We are content with trading baskets to preserve respectability right now. We aren't hungry throughout the ranks for eliteness.

Sad thing is the adminstation is perfectly content winning the SEC 2 out of every 3 or 4 years with no hope of another real trophy.

The good news tonight is that the Vols broke 60. Lord knows that does not happen too often.

The bad news is that the defense is only good against crappy teams like Auburn. Against a quality opponent like Notre Dame, the defense is poor. 88 points. Wow!

Coach has a lot of work to do. I am not sure she is up to the task.

No different than a turnover. Maybe if we told Holly missed shots were turnovers she would clamp down on them more?

I just hate knowing that there is no chance of us winning a big game against an elite team on the road. Everything in this game went exactly how we knew it would and how it always goes. 7 years is a pretty definitive body of evidence that something needs to change.
