Just got all settled in and ready to watch this one online. I counted this as an automatic win. I have scrolled through the thread and I am guessing a lot of it had to do with bad defense coupled with missed shots?
I wish I could figure them out. I really do. Watching game tape has to be exhausting for this coaching staff.
Coaching-wise... after a made bucket we were down 2 points with 38 seconds to go. Who in their right mind would foul on the inbounds?? You play successful defense for 25-30 seconds and set up your offense in the last 8=10 secs in order to tie or win.
HW is terrible.
I don't understand the deal with Dunbar she doesn't turn it over near as much as Jackson and Middleton and Middleton cannot guard anybody so we need to give her a chance. If she fails she want be doing anything different than what is already being done. With the way Middleton, Reynolds and Jackson have played at times Harris couldn't be any worst........Russell disappears in crunch time, she doesn't want to bang/look to get the rebound she stands around watching everyone else......Nunn wants to play more and should be yet she barely plays and the same with Dunbar.....It is really is puzzling
We have players who are such weenies mentally---starting with Middleton but also DeShields, Reynolds, others. And Warlick. The program is in a sad state--been in a sad state for years. Pls. write Hart, as I have, and tell him we are not going to accept this BS any longer. When I tuned in, at the start of the 3rd Q, we had a 10 point lead!
I have to disagree with your last statement. Yes, CHW is a failure as a head coach. But the players are responsible for this loss as well. CHW wasn't out there jacking up low percentage shots and getting lost on defense.

There doesn't have to be 64 better teams. There are ~32 automatic bids, many of which will go to mediocre teams. There only needs to be 32 better teams to knock Tenn out of the at-large bids.
I am not Holly but the erratic play for the last two years staying competitive is all I ask .My expectations have been lowered to just that and hope we do not get embarrassed .That is a far cry from when I expected a win every time they stepped on the court but it is what it is....
