I don't profess to know the Oregon State coaches philosophy - he may play man as a way to demand a better performance from his team. Better teams usually (not always) play man by virtue of having better, faster, quicker athletes. You can force more turnovers that way and pressure the opponent easier and better. But OSU didn't have those athletes IMO. They were fairly slow and pedestrian on the perimeter. I'm not sure why they played man.

Texas and lady vols are the same athletic , but can't shoot worth a damn, but texas has heart and they play defense with the best of them. Texas will play a sagging man defense

I originally had the Vols winning this one and I think I am going to stick with that. This game could have a ridiculous number of turnovers though.

I would like to think so as well but I just cant see it happening. We have lost 2 of our 5 good chances to show what we got and I see us winning none. I am afraid we are showing what we aint got>

I hope you are right!

Texas also has a speedy point guard that is an excellent three point shooter and can blow by you if you guard her tightly on the perimeter. If Tennessee cannot contain her, I don't see how they can win this game.

Their effort drew the ire of coach Gregg Popovich, who called out some of his underperforming players, saying "guys get a lot of money to be ready to play."

Asked whether it was his job to make sure the Spurs were ready to play, Popovich said, "I don't remember playing tonight. No Knute Rockne speeches. It's your job. If you're a plumber and you don't do your job, you don't get any work. I don't think a plumber needs a pep talk. A doctor botches operations, and he's not a doctor anymore. If you're a basketball player, you come ready. It's called maturity. It's your job."

Popovich ur not developing your players, u can't coach x and o's. Fire Popovich, he can't get his players ready to play. lol

Texas has been as big a disappointment as we have thus far this season. One team will get a huge win Sunday.

You are forgetting that team is coached by Miss Holly Warlick which means Texas by 20 or more with players having career games.

Vandy has one loss and has beaten Duke. If were going to get it together better happen fast our 8 and 8 SEC record last season looks to be in jeopardy as far as wins this season.
Hopefully we can get through with a winning record as the future looks bright. Holly is rebuilding the teams talent and depth. Looks like were headed for another top five class in 2018 hopefully they all sign as this year could change some minds.

I used to be a die hard LV fan but Miss Holly Warlick has killed that like so many others on this once proud forum.
You really can't see it or you writing to keep people who really care revved up?

Coaches DOcoach effort, that is part of getting the best out of your players.... It is passion for the game, that I will not coach. If you don't love my game, GTF out of it!

Put Meme on the point guard to start the game. Like the movie Hoosiers, tell her you want her to guard and harass her so much that she needs to know what brand gum she is chewing. Love that movie!

If you put Middleton on the point guard, you can kiss it goodbye.

Loved the movie!! Like the thought with Meme as well. I am afraid it is already a goodbye. Love the LVs but just my opinion.

Meme has had a couple of starts. Defensively it was a better move, but the offense flow was not improved. And that is where we need improvement most.
