Game Thread: Lady Vols host Auburn, Thursday, Feb 13 at 6:30 ET. SECN+

When we lose, it's because we suck.

When we win close, it's because we got lucky, and we still suck.

When we win big, it's because the other team really sucks.

That's the option select.
Noone has said they suck ...at least not me ....go to hell !

No. You said:

…own it.
It is the ole "I did not use those exact words" defense. Reminds me of a great line in the film Collateral where Jamie Foxx's character says to a hitman (Played by Tom Cruise), you just killed that man!! To which Cruise's character responds, "I didn't kill him. The bullets and the fall from the roof did."

Looking at Bart Torvik's "game score" statistic, which, as I understand it, measures how well you perform based on your and your opponents' historical performances, this game against Auburn was one of 4 "perfect" (100 Game Score) games for us this season, along with the games against Richmond, Texas, and UConn. Interesting that we played about as good as we possibly could've against Texas and still lost.

Our worst game of the season was at Memphis (79 Game Score), one of only two games with a Game Score less than 95. The other was at Missouri (Game Score 93) - both wins. Oklahoma (95) and Vanderbilt (96) are next.

This Auburn game has our 2nd highest adjusted offensive efficiency, 2nd only to the Richmond game. Our best adjusted defensive efficiency game was vs. South Carolina.

Anybody doing the game thread etc for tomorrow. Need to get my prediction in
Game thread is up. @Coach Jumper has an open invitation to keep his well-run and popular score prediction contest running within the game thread, as usual. Or he may run it as a separate thread like he did last game. Go, LVs!

Same, she is a player that has given us a lot of trouble in the past. She couldn't get anything going against this team. Boyd was really bothering their ball handlers, she keeps players in front and makes them pickup their dribble better than any defender we have had in recent memory. She is a natural defender and has excellent spacing. Very rarely fouls as she uses her feet and not her hands to defend, should be teaching everyone else.

On those long passes from the Auburn, the television coverage was frustrating in that the cameras were always focusing on throw in player and so we could never see what led to the breakdown.

For those at the game, what was going on? Auburn had at least 5 times they got behind the LV D for open lay-ups. That was about the only negative from this game so what led to those back
Tennessee was focused on the ball with at least two players and a breakdown on defense and an opponent becoming open in the paint. Other times it was lazy defense and not watching players headed in the opposite direction.
