Alabama is a better team. I didn't think they were 10-3 better, but the girls weren't ready to play and Bama was and this is the result. Suck it up girls, sweep Kentucky, and go into the tournament with some momentum. Hopefully Missouri loses at least two against LSU and Florida, so the LV's should get a 5 seed if they take care of Kentucky.

I thought Karen called a pretty poor game. Alabama couldn't hit Gabriel's rise ball. Almost all Alabama's big hits today were off Gabriel's change up. The Alabama coach is a smart coach and I know he told his girls to sit and wait on those change ups. Karen should have recognized that and kept her throwing the rise balls. The Alabama coach Murphy has always adapted in games better than the Weekleys.

It was almost inevitable IMO. I thought before the series the LV's would win one game. They should have won two. The inability to bring in runs in bases-loaded or two-on situations was very costly. In this series it was the hitting that failed first. I'm disappointed but not surprised. This is a good team - a better team than some of the early season detractors think. But they're not good enough to win against high-quality opponents unless pitching, hitting, and fielding all three are performing.

Missouri beats LSU 7-2. Missouri is now two games ahead of the LV's in the loss column. Missouri has two more games with LSU and three games with Florida. I still believe they will lose at least two of those games. The LV's are tied with Georgia in the loss column. Georgia has one more game (against Kentucky) and they are done. The LV's better sweep Kentucky. Before this weekend there was an outside chance at a 4 seed. That is gone unless Arkansas miraculously sweeps Alabama in their finale. Now the 5 seed may slip away.

Were going to finish better than projected although we could still finish seventh or as high as fifth. I can see Missouri losing three of the next five if that happens and we sweep Kentucky we got fifth.
