One thing Alabama's pitchers do that ours don't is throw strikes, especially first pitch strikes. The LV's struck out nine times last night and have six strikeouts so far tonight.
If you'd have told me before the game that Tarango would hold them to two runs thru five innings I would have said we would be ahead. Instead we're down 3-1. That first inning bases loaded and no runs scored really hurts.
Rubber game tomorrow. They still can take the series. I assume Gabriel will pitch tomorrow. It's a shame they couldn't muster any run support for Cheyanne - she deserved better what with her pitching a complete game and giving up only three runs.
