Some people go out of their way to discredit anything positive about the players and this team.

Some positives from the night:
- Rickea is a star
- We outrebounded Team USA 38-37
- We shot 9-23 from 3 (39%) against the best perimeter defense we'll see all year
- Kaiya Wynn was 5-5 on FTs
- Tamari got more time to play her way back into basketball shape
- No injuries (knock on wood)

the defensive physicality on the ball !! And the requirement to create one's own shot because screens don't work/exist. I personally believe the LVs will benefit from having the honor to play this exhibition.

Coach stated that her expectation was that the players wouldn't back down. they didn't.

Rebounds 38 Tn to 37 USA bet Kellie will be proud of that. We couldn't score inside on them but hit 9 threes they hit 11. They had 14 steals to our 4, We had 18 turnovers they had 9 They are very strong defensive team. They hit 55 percent we made 33 percent. Field goal attempts 64 to 64.

I thought overall we did fairly well. Their defensive intensity is next to none. We could not get an open shot or any movement with the ball. Rebounded well. RJ played excellent as always. Should be able to watch film and this game can help us. Won’t face better then this.

Lady Vols looked liked they enjoyed this experience! Saw lots of effort and lots of smiles. No injuries and team probably learned some things about themselves from the experience. TK is going to be TK again, and I am going to sleep better tonight!

The way she can step to the line and make free throws make her a very dangerous player for our opponents cause she can get to the basket and get fouled.

I think they will and may win by more than this game. I thought us having just 18 turnovers was impressive against this defensive pressure. We had that many last year against teams with less than half this pressure.

I thought we had WAY more and wells can handle the pressure. The bumps that happened tonite will get called during the season. I think they let both sides play a little more

LVs positives from tonight’s game:
Destinee Wells is an elite PG.
Jillian Hollingshead played strong inside against one of the best players in the world BG!
Puckett has improved her game and will be a key contributor this season.
Tamari Key continues to play well in her return to the court. Her getting better consistently over the season will help Tennessee reach its full potential.
Jewel Spear and Rickea Jackson are playing on the best team they have ever been apart of in their college careers.
Both players are well decorated collegiate athletes and could solidify their careers in WCB with a run at a Nat’l championship.
The path to leave their legacy as champions start Nov.7th. I believe! Lets GBO.

The way I looked at this game was the part of the world’s best players playing against a college team with two possible WNBA players, Key and Jackson, and we did not back down. I want to see our final starting lineup because CJH made sure that everyone had a chance to play and I believe that will make this team stronger.

Really??? 6-of the 10 players we just played were number 1 WNBA draft picks. A team full of seasoned pro's. This USA team will beat other countries national teams much worse than they beat Tennessee tonight and Kellie played all 12 players. Season opener is in two days. Ten of the 12 Lady vols scored and they out rebounded arguably the best team in the world and shot 39% from the 3 against them. There were plenty of positives but you will never see them if you only look for the negatives.

Wells was outstanding? According to the game stats, she was 0-4 from the floor, had 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 rebounds--and was the only Vol with a negative efficiency rating. Only played 13 minutes--but I think nobody played more than 19 mins.

There was no downside to this game outside of injuries which from live action both teams ended the game healthy.

No realistic person can say they saw no positives from this game for Tennessee and Team USA.
