If that’s true… you shouldn’t be coaching youth
I agree %100. Refs will test you if they don't know you. Mulkey was on the playing floor as much as her players Thursday night. Nothing was said to her. I got in heated debate with refs coaching middle school game once. They threw me out of the game and made me leave gym. Same refs did 2 more games that year. Called the games equal on both sides after that.
That’s embarrassing for your kids, parents, school and community. Agree with the poster you shouldn’t be coaching youth. Take away, you’re not Mulkey as you clearly stated in the eyes of the refs.

Fine, as a starting conversation with a stripe, sure,,,one time, maybe even two times
but what if it doesn't work,,,you still gonna caress their ears?
Not me,,,I am so far down their throat I can smell their lunch
and if they get mad,,,I get madder
you'll throw "me arse" out before I back down once you pushed me to this limit
Don't know the refs from your area but if you pull that with the refs I've dealt with you would last long. I've been close a few times but escaped by a hair . I've seen many thrown out and even suspended for 2 and 3 games. Mulkey wouldn't be out on the court but 1 time without being T'd up.

I was friends with the head ref in Atlanta from 2006-2010 when I coached with the GA Pistols org...He gave me more insight and the fact that we were known to be friends gave me a huge leverage in games.

I made it a point to know the names of nearly every ref who called my games...And that is the first major step in working a ref,,,Knowing thier name instead of "Hey Blue or Hey Ref"...when you treat them like they are worth knowing, immediately you get an upper hand vs the coaches who don't.

When was the last time you saw a coach in the NCAA walk over and acknowledge their refs,,,Never?

Trust me,,,it can be the difference

I can honestly say that in over 40 years of coaching on every level, top to bottom,,,I have been ejected twice from a game

I remember two of my barbs, “hey ref make sure you save enough time for the makeup calls”, and one inquiring if he had an integrity check recently. The third May have been some variant of my Homer series of snarky comments.

At Belmont there was competition among the regulars where points were awarded for originality and laugh volume from the stands. Bonus points when reflexive high fives were involved.

Really? Of all the douchey-as-hell things you've ever said on here, this short comment takes the prize. It beats even every cringe-worthy mention you've made about your "alpha"-ness.

That was it. I'm done.
Beat me to it and probably said it better.
