Game Thread Lady Vols vs Georgia

Holly stating you can't coach effort? How would she know did she try and fail? The first words out of her mouth after a loss and there's been many are 'I don't Know'. I tend to believe her.

T.J., this is such a tired excuse for a Holly slam. Coaches say this ALL THE TIME after losses. I heard it verbatim from Coach K after Duke lost to SJ. Heard it again from Calipari after UK loss. These are both natty-winning, legendary coaches.

They also stomp their foot and cross their arms, too.

Go Lady Vols!

That is one of the things that really upsets me and gets me riled up about this team. They have ZERO clock management skills. When you are up like that and have the chance to take the last shot, you HAVE to do it. There is no reason to take a shot (especially a forced shot) that early. Should shoot at the buzzer so there is no way your opponent can score.

Just not true.

How are people complaining about turnovers negavols? You do realize we've lost games because of that, right. The turnover problems has gotten worse, because we turn it over in bunches and lose whatever rhythm we've gotten into. And the UGA could've definitely been another lose if Georgia could have it a layup. They missed over 15 lay ins, they were getting to the basket at ease. Also, we were lucky they couldn't hang on to the ball after stealing it. But hey, we got the we win that's that matters right!

There's a separate thread on turnovers. Haven't read it yet, but maybe it includes the research that shows some of our best NC winning teams had as many turnovers as this team.

If you're playing energetic defense and crashing the boards, you can easily on overcome turnovers. You're not letting the other team score off your to's and you're also turning them over, too.

We pretty easily overcame 29 to's vs GA because we defended well and got 20 more rebounds.
