Yeah, but those were the worse two quarters of basketball, I have seen from the ladies all year.

Gule, hang in with Davis through some of these freshman mistakes. I am confident that getting her this vital game experience is going to pay huge dividends down the road.

Besides, you have to admit that she's one of those players that is fully capable of making good things happen. I'm happy with the patience Holly is showing her for the most part.

I think "really good" is stretching it. The first qtr was good, but we've played down to KY's level a bit and aren't looking really sharp on either end of the court. I know we can play better than this.

True but holding an opponent to under 40 points thru a good portion of the 4th is “really good” this isn’t a midmajor program this is a conference opponent.

Hmmm. I'm not fond of the wasted opportunity to teach during that last timeout. Players weren't talking. Coaches not talking.

It's moments like that when it comes crashing in on my mind how different Holly is from Pat.

Baby steps.... we have a team now that wants to play together, the freshman are hardworking and they can score!

They are exciting to watch but they are freshman.... thankfully Nared and Russell are great mentors.

Things are looking up!

Yeah. They are winners. 13-0.

Solid win! I love the activity by Mercedes on defense this game, she changed the way Kentucky players shot the ball, sometimes its not always about a block, its at least going for it.

We lost these kind of games last year, especially on the road. A lil rust after the 10 day lay- off, cos the gauntlet is approaching, earn that SEC Champion armor.

We played one quarter than coasted... let's go ladies. Jamie has to knock down shots. It gives our team confidence.

Nice win.

Don’t mean to be negative, but very few positives from this game. Evina played fairly well, as did Mercedes. Jaime looked rattled for some reason.
The turnovers were tough to watch. I’m tired of this excuse of them being freshmen. At this point, they have to elevate their games.
Seemed like we were only interested in playing well for one quarter. That has to be unacceptable. Lack of mental focus for majority of game. We did rebound well however.

TN had a great 1st quarter! Team effort at it' best.

Major concerns with lack of efficiency the rest of the game. Holly is just not a good coach. Lack of time outs when the game got sloppy. Absolutely no coaching up but down. Bench players not getting into the game with the lead up by 20 most of the game.

There's a reason for that. Holly has nothing to say to the team. The only words she know is to 'play hard'. Cheridene Green played less than 10 minutes? Kasi got into the game with 2 minutes left. Kamera Harris got bench splinters and Kortney is just an after thought.

The Lady Vols are 13-0 but I'm telling y'all an undefeated season is not going to happen because of very bad coaching or the lack thereof.

Guess who does this? From licking the palm of her hand then wiping it with a towel. To incessantly raising her upper lip to her nose showing her teeth. Wiping her sweaty forehead unto her hair. The optics of a coach doing those things on the sidelines makes me cringe. Not a good look especially when the coaching is atrocious! :thud:

I'm glad the LVs won but CHW is just hard to watch.
