Game Thread: Lady Vols Vs LSU; Thurs Jan 9th ; Home game; 6:30 PM Eastern; SEC+ stream

ESPN is doing a multi-cast for the Orange Bowl/College Football Playoff Thursday night on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. If an SEC team had been in the game, then the "Home Team Feed" with the SEC team's radio call over the broadcast would have been on SEC Network. Because of that, they left the time slot open, since the TV games are selected before the season begins.

So why did that not change when Notre Dame beat Georgia to eliminate an SEC team from the Orange Bowl? Again, the TV selections are made before the season begins. So once the slot was left open, schools hosting games on Thursday were free to schedule games whenever they chose to. "Upgrading" a game to SEC Network from SEC Network+ requires a school to move its advertised tip time to fit the opened TV window and then for ESPN to find a TV crew to produce the game on ~week's notice. Just not logistically possible.
Not to mention they need content that forces people to pay extra….One reason to fill 42 versions of the same game on your other channels

Jewel has been great shooting, hope to see some improvement on the defensiv side of the ball, though. To score 28pts and still end up -10 on the +/- is impressiv, in a bad way.
