According to the Tennessee Lookout:

"Tennessee has among the highest rates of flu and flu-like illness in the nation with a post-holiday surge driving one in every ten outpatient visits at the close of 2024, according data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

Be careful out there, friends!

The game should be on the regular SEC network and not on plus. That's an insult. You're talking no. 6 vs. no. 16.
ESPN is doing a multi-cast for the Orange Bowl/College Football Playoff Thursday night on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. If an SEC team had been in the game, then the "Home Team Feed" with the SEC team's radio call over the broadcast would have been on SEC Network. Because of that, they left the time slot open, since the TV games are selected before the season begins.

So why did that not change when Notre Dame beat Georgia to eliminate an SEC team from the Orange Bowl? Again, the TV selections are made before the season begins. So once the slot was left open, schools hosting games on Thursday were free to schedule games whenever they chose to. "Upgrading" a game to SEC Network from SEC Network+ requires a school to move its advertised tip time to fit the opened TV window and then for ESPN to find a TV crew to produce the game on ~week's notice. Just not logistically possible.

Great explanation. Fits with my limited knowledge of the scheduling process.

I really wanted to say, “They hate us, cause they anus”. 🤙🏼

Just curious coach, do you attend any of the men’s basketball games?
We are season ticket holders for the lady vols for our third year now. We are not for the men because my partner hates their style of play lol. We also, oddly enough, have a harder time finding people to go with us to the men's games then the women's games, which also makes them less appealing. Who knows though. We talk about going to mens games every year, but life gets busy with other work and social activities.

I understand your partner's affinity for the women's game. It's a more fundamental style of play. I enjoy it as well being you can see the plays unfold and see the chess pieces being put into place so to speak. The men's game is exciting, but I prefer the women's game just a bit more. However I do enjoy watching the Ivy league, mid-major and/or less athletic teams give Power 5 teams fits in the men's tournament. Their cerebral style of play often gets athletic teams a little off kilter.

If I lived in TN (maybe within the next 5 years) I would have season tickets to the Lady Vols as well. Enjoy the game(s)! Go Lady Vols.

I need Spencer to take more shots tonight and the rest of the season. She's one of the purest scorers on this team, and I wish she'd look for her shot more. She can get to the rim almost at will. I watched her do it several times during the OU game, and it either resulted in a bucket or free throws or an open kickout to someone else.

I'm excited to see how this team comes out after a loss. Hoping to see improvement(s) in the areas CKC's been harping on. It may not guarantee a win against this LSU team, but it will give me hope that we can take down a giant in Feb or March.

LSU has more talent (and an elite coach), so IF they play better than us from tip to buzzer, I'm ok with a loss. A win would be super encouraging though. And I think we can do it. CKC is a winner.
