Mulkeys go home with the loss. So it is written, so shall it be. I was tempted to make it a 10+ point win for LV’s, but for the purpose of this contest I’ll go 9. I believe the LV press will wreak havoc on this LSU team that lacks elite ball handling guards.

One of the things I surmised from the post game presser from CKC after the OK game was her steel attitude, that woman hates to lose. She will have her team ready, she is something imo. Should be a huge crowd at TBA, and that is always a good thing for the home team.

Go Lady Vols! I saw my first Lady Vols game ever against Winthrop and loved it. Heartbreaker vs Oklahoma. I saw them play here against UNLV and they played well. Hopefully the shooting is better against LSU.

I have been surprised in other games (maybe it's because she's expecting) to see that coach C is not all that fired up on the sidelines. I'm into the old school style of coaching (Pat Summit / Bobby Knight so to speak) where the coach isn't afraid to get after a kid or a team. Maybe the game is changing and the kids are 'different.' I'm a teacher so I see that maybe being the reason. Coach C does seem less fiery during games.

Winthrop did expose the long pass downcourt to get behind the press. Many uncontested layups. This team is uber talented but I wonder if it's difficult to be a shooter in that system, especially if you are in a slump. You've got to be on as soon as you step on the court, no playing your way into a game or shooting your way into a game either. The continuous substitutions have to make game flow difficult. Defensively as well. Yes you have fresher legs, but you don't really get a feel for a player you are defending when you are only on the court for short spurts.

I'm supportive and patient of the staff and team, just some questions that popped up as I saw the team play in person for the first time.

PS if you haven't seen the "dress like Kim" video from a recent LSU game, it's pretty comical.

Enjoyed your post. Kim Caldwell does not seem like the type to put up with weaknesses for long, suspect she fixes them quickly, she is a winner. She will be at UT for a long time unless I am completely wrong, and she may end up the coach of the year for the SEC and perhaps nationally, AD White found a gem. I believe in her. She has that “it” factor if some have not noticed yet.
