Game Thread Lady Vols vs Penn State

Massey has Penn State ranked #83. They've down 2 of their best players with injuries and had another foul out this game yet we're up only 2 with 4:35 left in the game. If we were playing a decent team tonight we would be losing by 20. Our play looks the players just met each other for the first time. And where is DUNBAR ?

I think Warlick's problem is that she's too much a player's coach. This is why we are sloppy, why we make bad decisions and get undisciplined on defense. A hard-nosed coach like Geno would whip this group into a juggernaut as we've got loads of talent.

DeShields seems a bit too eager to make a highlight pass. TShe's made some and forced others for turnovers. TOO MANY TURNOVERS--as usual.

If PSU didn't lose Banks to injury we would probably be taking the L. Geno has to be laughing his ass off.

Does Holly assistant coaches recommend who should enter the game? Because for Dunbar not to see the second half is horrible

Overreact much? Early season games are almost always ugly, especially when you're playing several girls who are coming off of injuries or have otherwise been out of the game for an extended period of time. I would be shocked if we weren't making sloppy mistakes from time to time at this point in the season.

True ... but you can still see the penchant for playmaking in her. We have a LOT of room to grow. Diamond will get better and the team must get better. We have a ceiling of the Final 8 maybe 4 right now. No way we are a title contender but we have the personnel to develop into a title contender.

Diamond and her passing ability will return Graves to the way she played as a freshman! We haven't had anyone who could pass the ball to Graves like that since she has been here! I think we should look a lot better than we do but I do see a lot of upside. My confidence in Holly is still a little shaky though

I'll give ya that. It's not getting any easier with Syracuse and chatt right around the corner. Hope these sloppy mistakes get fixed quickly
