Does this suppose to offend me?
Caring this much about someone else opinion on this forum is a character flaw.
I wasn’t looking to offend you, I was legitimately asking. Because you consistently say things that don’t make sense in the context of the reality that we can all see with our eyes.

You can’t offend me if you tried. That’s what you don’t understand.
Your opinion to me is legitimately irrelevant and wrong.
I don’t care what you claim to see.
Another poster just today nearly verbatim made the exactly same post that I made on this very thread so trying to paint a picture that isn’t even true on a forum again shows you have a serious character flaw.

This matchup is always a close game. No reason for it to be any different tonight. I don’t know the reasons, but neither program seems able to distance themselves much in games against each other, it is what it is. Expect a great game, I know I am, and any thoughts of a blow out on either side are false hopes imo. It’s weird to me that after all the history between these programs in the past 10-12 years anyone would expect something other than a battle to the end tbh. Over the past ten or so seasons no team in the conference has battled SC as closely as the LV’s, it’s just a fact.

Never thought I’d see the day that SC fans could be as condescending as UConn fans.
Well, women’s BB is absolutely the only thing they can back that up with. In 2011-12, they had baseball NCs back to back. Occasionally, they’ll have a year in football but they have one conference (ACC) championship from the 60’s and one division (SEC) title (2010)- aside from that, they don’t have jack diddly.
In women’s BB, they still have a ways to go before they catch UConn or UT in championships.
Just point out the 8 NC banners and that should shut em up, or at least make em swallow their dip 🤷‍♂️

In the end, history will tell the true story. Is Tennessee capable of beating South Carolina, of course they are!! However, they will need to play some of their best ball in all phases of the game. This team is capable of winning any game it plays.

I agree.
Words of advice, “tread lightly Golfteacher”.
One of these self-anointed posters might just call you insane and stalk every post you make from thread to thread for stating Tennessee is capable of beating South Carolina to get the same two or three likes from the clique lol!
I’m looking forward to the game tonight.
GBO ‘solid’!

Some are making the mistake of calling healthy respect for a worthy opponent as being condescending here. As I mentioned above, no team in the SEC has challenged SC more in the past 10-12 years as UT has done. SC fans are not the same as UConn fans, different DNA, we have to play the LV’s every year in what seems like a close game(s) every time in spite of SC being at their peak years obviously in that time frame.

I get that it might come off as condescending, trust me however, it is not. 100% respect. Knowledgeable SC fans are nervous about this game tonight as well they should be, UT has been in plenty of high powered games so far this season and nobody has been able to deliver a knockout blow, to the contrary, the biggest games have all come down to the wire. Same tonight I suspect.

I hesitate to even mention this, but many posters here know I was at the SEC tourney last year and witnessed the end of that game, SC was dead to rights, the ending doesn’t change the situation they were in, UT always brings it against SC. Always have. At TBA, I would not wager either way on this outcome.

Side note, Everyone must have noticed already that this LV teams plays better at home, their scoring average is much higher there.

Complete respect from CDS:

As the regulars here know already, I never post a prediction on this game, for many reasons but foremost it’s respect for both programs and the realization that all of their games are too close to call. The winner tonight is the game of WBB and all the fans across the nation that watch this game. WBB is growing in enthusiasm and viewership, and games like this are a big part of that. Wishing both teams no injuries and their very best games.

Positive ways for the game. Coop likely has a big game btw, extra sauce for her.

Ya almost coaxed me into stereotyping those that battled the South in the War of Northern Aggression… 🤣🤣🤣🤙🏼😈

Chuck, I grew up in Maine where it was referred to as the war against the rebels….😉 To this day some of the older folks in New England still refer to southerners as rebels….My grandfather knew no other term for people from the South other than Rebs.

I split time between Maine and SC coast these days, my Reb friends are the best tbh.

That stat is skewed by having so many early cupcakes all at home. They've lost two close ones at home and two close ones on the road against actual opposition.
Check their average scores in SEC competition at home vs the road. They score more at home.

They’ve been close against good competition. Hoping tonight is the night we get over the hump. I’m still amazed at the quick turnaround for Coach Kim after having her baby. Medical technology has changed so much, it’s amazing. Plus she is a competitor, and wants to coach.

Would shock me if the score gets into the 80’s for both sides. SC will come into the game determined to make it a defensive game. I am very curious to see how effective the UT press will be against the SC guards. Also curious to see how effective UT is shooting the three, SC has not been good defending the three this year, surprised nobody has brought that up yet.

I hope you're right. I'm nervous that she might force things a bit given her connection to SC, and I'm worried about both her and Whitehorn given how good SC's 2pt. % defense is, and they've effectively shut down other wings this year. To your point in another post, this would be a really good game for Spear to show up in a big way and hit several 3s (and Spencer and Tess, too) - even better if Cooper and Whitehorn can hit a few.

Bottom Line:
First time in a long long time excited to watch our Lady Vols play against a dominate top ranked team.
Yes, we have played top ten ranked teams this year but USCe has been premier since Staley's arrival.
What's more it is a punchers chance.
Not since Pat Head have I been this excited.
Go Lady Vols.
