I am so happy for and proud of the team for getting this big win against a Top 10 opponent -- the first such win in years, great job, Lady Vols!

Good win--desperately needed win. Defense won it for us. Stanford doesn't look all that talented--well coached but we've got more talent. We were shaky in the last 3.5 minutes--but a win should give this fragile team some confidence. Everyone was energetic and engaged, including our swan, DeShields. Russell can still be better. I think she got tired late in this game. Warlick has got to make sure she is somewhat fresh down the stretch in games that are likely to be tight. Our offense basketball consists of trying to get the ball to Russell--and if that is not there, then somebody goes 1v1. Not a dependable scheme, but worked today.

for most of the second quarter and Stanford really struggled against it. We are better defensively in zone, I think. We make too many fundamental in in man, but defense overall was excellent today--won the game.

Stanford was playing a zone when they jumped out to the big lead in 1st Qtr and then they went to man about the same time the LV's went to a zone .IMO that was a big factor in the win tonite....us going to a zone changed the momentum and Stanford then playing man helped a great deal.

Stanford played a sagging man ..they have to respect some shooters the played scout they sagged off Jordan but not Middleton or Jamie or diamond as they are shooting 36 and 37 from theee
