I got one for y'all..van chancellor!! Is he even still alive??
Listen. Winning is a team effort and losing is a team effort. You can't praise the team when they win and blame ONLY the coach when they lose . . . that makes zero sense to any reasonable person. Holly isn't going anywhere any time soon, and all this talk about who to bring in as a new coach is pointless. The team's coach is Holly Warlick, and she's going to be at UT a while. Support her and her team or go find another team to root for. I guarantee she hasn't lost faith in her team, nor the team in her. However, if I were either, I'd have zero faith in the support of the fanbase.
Many of you forget (as is convenient when you want to gripe), Tennessee has been playing without its star player and senior leader. Texas is a good team who was playing at home. They beat Stanford at Stanford. Settle down and give it a rest.

I havent praised em this year, I had no reason too we didn't play anybody. Who gets the win and losses? Coaches.
We know she's not going anywhere and alot of us even though we're mad we still want her to do well, but we have some legitimate questions as to the direction of the program.
And she understands the scrutiny comes with coaching the best brand in women basketball period. She's following a legend, a woman who built womens basketball and expectations are high.
So, she can either woman up or step down but you right she's not going anytime soon Pat's wishes but we can dream of Pokey as the coach, who has more head coaching experience.
Cos an assistant coach for all those years, could have programmed her to be an assistant her whole life, a star play can change that hopefully Diamond will, but I'm not impress with the performance of this veteran team so far. Can we get better? Yes. And I will be cheering and praying we do so...
She should stop telling us they are good, they are competitive, they are hard workers, they are this, they are that, when really they are none of those things, if they were we would see it.
I know we shouldn't bash coaches or players. I am a true Lady Vol fan. Been a fan since the Holdsclaw and Shyra Ely days. It is hard to have any confidence in Holly when you see no improvements at all! I don't care if Russell and Harrison is out. I have saw High School teams execute better offense than this. When your entire staff looks clueless and players are constantly looking confused and scared on the court, fans are going to be frustrated. What stings also is when your rivals are sitting back laughing as they are displaying a more excited and tough brand of basketball while competing for championships and we put this presentation on the floor! Do you not think opposing coaches are using this in recruiting?
Warlick on the loss: "We got outworked. We got outplayed. We gave up too many transition points. They had too many second chance points, and we shot poorly from the free throw line. In the first half, we were quick shooting the basketball. Our plan was to make them have to defend and we didn't do that the first half. We settled in and did that a little in the second half, but you dig yourself in a hole and then you have to get stops. The game is about defense and rebounding. We can't seem to grasp the importance of defense. It's probably going to take us keep getting our butts beat to realize the importance of getting it down and playing in a stance. You can't defend someone when you're standing straight up. We seem to think that we can do that. We're just going to have to go back and work and figure out how we can defend people because if we shoot as poorly as we do, we have to do something to keep us in the game."

I wonder if we set a new record tonight for fewest assists in a game? Hard to imagine that we've ever had fewer than three.
I would not be alone if our program start heading in the same direction as ODU, La Tech. It would save the lady vols march. lol Loser read all comments before commenting miss selective reading.

I'm sure coaches do many things in recruiting to build their teams up to the detriment of all others. I think when Harrison is healthy, when/if we get to see what Tucker is capable of, and when an even stronger chemistry is developed with a few more games under the belt, these November games will become a distant memory. It is still very, very early in the season, and even so, very few top teams remain unbeaten. Next weekend, Notre Dame plays UConn. Either Notre Dame will suffer its first loss, or UConn will have the same number of losses as UT. Now is the time to work out the kinks. If another coach wants to say, "Ha, they lost twice, they suck, you don't want to play there," so be it. Although, I'm telling you, if I were Geno or Muffett or Kim, I'd negative recruit by telling recruits they want to avoid the crazy Tennessee fan base that demands a coaching change every time the team loses a game.
