We're just not a smart or good or well-coached team. We will win a lot of games just because of our raw talent--but we are not well coached, haven't been for years. 53 points?

We might as well just bench Carter and Reynolds and go with the freshmen. We will lose more games as they learn but at least they have an upside. If you are a junior and your frickin' layups don't come within 3 ft of drawing iron you have no business playing division 1 ball, let alone playing for us.

That is beyond pathetic. What the hell? How spastic can a person be?

Most of the players are All-Americans and actually quite good on their own. If the team is bad that is on the coach, not the players.

Everybody let's not panic the way the team looked the last 3 games against inferior competition who thought the outcome would be different.

They have no clue!!

I just want the old LADY VOLS back!!!!

Right, we have no recognizable patterns or plan on offense. Defense has also suffered in the past few yrs. Everyone has talented players now, you can't just roll the ball out and say "go win".

Bad player substitutions.
Players not hitting layups.
No offensive flow at all ever.
Defense gave up too many WIDE open both LAYUPS and THREE's.
Players didn't seem to want it. Coaches didn't seem to want it. Texas players and coaches DID seem to want it.

Somehow we were in a position to win with less than 2 minutes left ...

Watch for attendance to pay dearly- I don't know if that will force the administrations hand but things are going downward for this program at an increasing rate. They may get past the next few games but they'll lose two in a row when they head to Stanford and then Oregon State.

No matter how you dissect this game, there are huge problems and I think the patience of the fans is starting to wear off.

We thought we wouldn't see the Maryland crap again and here it is scored 48 in that game and 53 here. All Holly talks about is defense find a way to score some freakin points.

Agree with most of this. But, we may not win a lot of games. We could easily be 1-5 right now instead of 5-1.

Wow. This was ugly. Our players are not simply as good as we think they are. The only players who has proven herself, is no one. I realized a couple of things watching this game.

Reynolds, Dunbar, Middleton, Jones, Graves, Nia and Carter are average players at best, they have reached near their ceiling, and all it is is a mindset.

Our team is talented on paper only, we have a lot of work to do; former All Americans, my ass, how??? See why, I don't buy into rankings.

Nared, Deshields, Cooper, Meme, are the only unknowns, and Russell, from everyone else, I know what I'm going to get, which isn't much. Meme need to be getting more minutes.

Diamond is back, it was her coming out party, she had no help, the only Lady Vol who played with a sense of urgency.

Even as poorly as we paid, we still had an opportunity to win this game. This season will hinge on the play of our guards and right now our guard play sucks.

Diamond scored 21 today because she is a volume shooter and a ball hog. She is a guard and had a grand total of one assist! She never has and never will play team ball. She wants to play one-on-one and figures if she chucks up enough shots, one will eventually go in. She only shot 41% today (still better than the team's 30%, but not very good).

The team plays decent defense forces teams into mistakes but you can't win game scoring 53 points it want happen.

I did like the way Reynolds was attacking the rim in the 4th, if she knocks those shots down, its a different game, but she got better this game, I still don't like her at the point, she dribbles too much.
