Even as poorly as we paid, we still had an opportunity to win this game. This season will hinge on the play of our guards and right now our guard play sucks.

You need to wake up and realize that Holly Warlick couldn't coach her way out of a wet paper sack. You have all these other reasons in your post but no mention of the absolutely pathetic excuse for a head coach we have.

No money will be spent on women's basketball. Holly will win a bunch of games just because of the talent on hand but never even sniff a national title.

And the downward slide is now completely baked into the cake over the next few years with us whiffing on post players. Tonight you saw what a team with just a decent post game can do to us and next year our post game will be much, much worse with only Russell to man both the 4 and 5 spots.

So it was this year or bust for Holly and it sure as hell looks like bust right now. Oh, I am sure we will rally and win a bunch. Then we will get our asses kicked in the tournament by the first good team we play just like we always do because it takes more than talent or effort to win at that point. You actually have to have a clue what you are trying to do on offense and you have to have players who do not have glaring holes in their games that can be exploited and which are never addressed.

This was the first UT game I have watched this year. I see what posters mean about players just standing around on offense. However, UT had plenty of opportunities in the latter part of the 4th quarter and just couldn't finish.

Deshields 24 points. All 5 starters 21 points. No starter in double figures - shooting 23%.

nothing will be done and the season will become another what could have been. TN is just putting off the inevitable by not making a change at head coach.

On a team full of non confident players, who are all scared to shoot, she will have to shoot, and she is a superstar, she will get her share of shots, we want her shooting especially if she shoots 38% or higher, she'll get more efficient as she matures.

Our post didn't work to get the ball, so what is she suppose to do, throw it into the paint like she was trying to do and we were turning it over.

Diamond keep it up young lady.

53 points today! UConn put up 105 against Texas a couple of months ago. Does this sound like the road to a national championship this year? Holly needs to step aside!

Not good when your 2nd-leading scorers end up with just 6 points. This is a team with many glaring deficiencies, one of them being that they're not much fun to watch.

Seriously? I could name at least a dozen people that are better choices than Matthew Mitchell.

Walz, Mulkey, Turner-Thorne, Brenda Freese, the coach at Oregon State, Gail Goestenkors, Kelly Graves, Wes Moore. That's just a start. I'm sure I could come up with a much longer list if I really sat down and thought about it. Some of those would never happen, though.

It already has. We've only broken 10k once this season, which was against Syracuse at 10,007. I'm not sure about today's game, though.

I've decided I'm not attending another game as long as this BS staff is there.

Tough to be a fan right now especially when I expected a lot of these returning players to be better. None are better and Mercedes didn't play like a post today. It was tough to watch.

We need a coach that has proven they can win as a HC. There are many schools that would hire an assistant coach as their next HC and Tennessee isn't one of them. Holly was a 'special' situation.

It's all a moot point. I don't think Holly will be gone from UT until the program is completely run into the ground or until she somehow decides to leave on her own terms. And given how stubborn she is I don't see that happening.

When and if it does happen, Tennessee needs to look outside of the Pat coaching tree. There are zero coaches (assistants or otherwise) that are part of Pat's coaching tree that I would hire as the LV's HC right now.

Nobody is afraid of Tennessee anymore. The only way to change this is to get a credible coach who can develop players and win big game. Also not let scrub teams think they can beat us. Thus is now Uconn's mystique.

Holly please step down as the ladies coach....this team has a lot of talent but no coaching...you don't make adjustments and the player are playing out of control and looks like back yard basketball..........the only reason you got this team was because Pat gave it to you.....since you have taken over this team has never seen a final four and not beaten ranked teams like in the past...they have taken 2 steps back....Geno would beat this team by 40......please if you love this team step down and let then hire a real coach

It's so true. And what's even more alarming that our staff's incompetence is the fact that a large chunk of our fanbase is so blind that they can't see the forest for the trees. They don't think there's anything wrong.

Anyone who knows a damn thing about the game of basketball can see the problem is coaching. Like ... it's not even close to being anything else. It's obvious to anyone who isn't blindly loyal to Holly (for whatever reason they are). I don't understand why people who don't know anything about a sport follow the sport or, better yet, comment on it.

We can discuss the game in any way we want and don't need you calling names. I don't care what you think and I am sure there are plenty more who think the same.

It is obvious that the team is not playing well and some changes need to be made.
