Not sure you know much about coaching this game

I know I’d probably have you ejected by halftime and sipping cold beer (figure of speech as I drink water)up 20 in the 4th if we faced off. I’ll happily take the free points, the ball and momentum knowing my team is mentally beating you.

We are officially not hosting for the NCAA tournament with this loss as well. We aren’t beating teams like SC, Texas or UCONN playing about 25 minutes of actual ball. We’re gonna be fortunate to finish better than .500 in the sec at this point.

And everyone lost their mind about Kellie Harper losing a game in the final second of a game to the #1 ranked team in the country. This is 3 games by less than than 2 points that we have not been able to close out and when it's Vanderbilt that makes it so much worse.

The refs were very big in this loss...

Some questionable calls but plenty of mistakes totally in the team's control. These close losses aren't on the refs.

can’t make that comparison. when kellie played vandy they were so so bad. they were in a total rebuild. they finally have a solid team this year.

Was a great crowd with lots of nice Lady Vols fans around us. Sucks to essentially replicate the men's game today.

Losing winnable games in crunch time was an issue throughout the entire KJH era. The SC game was just the most painful and memorable.

You may not agree but that’s a very likely scenario unless we wake up and play 4 quarters of actual defense. Playing like this we will not beat Texas, SC, LSU, Kentucky, Alabama, or Ole Miss and we will be in danger of losing to a team like Florida who can occasionally put a game together.

That’s 6 losses almost guaranteed and only 10 SEC games remaining. 7-10 is looking very likely. Sorry to say that but if you don’t beat teams like Vandy you’re not gonna beat the top half of the SEC.

This Vandy team is not good. Do not let anyone sell you that consolation prize. They played an easy out of conference and will finish .500 in the SEC. If we aren’t better than that then we just aren’t very good.

All of what you’re saying makes no difference. You don’t show up and take care of things for 40 minutes, a bad call (whether you agree with it or not) can cost you a game. So, yes, everything I explained to you does matter.

The entire game should always be like the third and fourth quarter drive the basket and kick the three if the defense collapse. Jacking up threes early in the shot clock just not something we need to do.

If you look at it that press has not affected the SEC Teams, yes Oklahoma had 31 turnovers but hey had went up by like 19 and still won the game. Like Mulkey said all you have to do is throw over the press and you have layup after layup, also TN is last in team defense percentage so.. when the 3s don't fall what is your plan B, also what is your defense other than the press, sometimes you have to switch up the D to throw teams off, press that dont work then its man to man which again they are last in team defense and guards blow by for lay-ups and no inside game to make them miss at the rim

The learning moment should have been OU, a team we are better than and lost to because we wouldn’t defend and rebound.

We quite clearly didn’t learn from that as we have dropped 2 of the last 3 by one point to teams we should have beaten.

This is the first we were favored slightly but favored.
