Thank you for expressing,I think fans and participants live in different worlds 99% of the time.
My tiny college once played Tennessee in baseball. Some team dropped out, UTAD needed to fill a slot at the last minute, and somehow our team got the call, being an hour away. The coach was literally pulling players out of classrooms, telling them to go grab their stuff and hop on the bus--"We've got a game!" Guys changed into their uniforms on the bus heading to Knoxville.
When the team returned from their intense shellacking to eat a cold meal in the cafeteria... you'd have thought they'd been to Disneyworld!
It was the trip of a lifetime for them, to get to play against an SEC school and see the amenities that come with sports at Tennessee (and this is back in the '70s, so nothing like how incredible things are now). NO ONE complained about the score--the experience for them was 100% wonderful and something to write home about!

I don't disagree with you but consistently you hear from the HCs of HBCUs that they need these games for their budgets. Sad but true. I imagine the programs that wouldn't beat them as bad would also not offer as much to go play there.100%!! The AD is getting his/her salary paid by getting these kids slaughtered.

If North Carolina Central scores a single point, I want to CKC to treat this game as a "loss".
The LVs have been a "nice" team for too many years running. It is time to be Godzilla in a bad mood storming through Tokyo. This team is not a cupcakes. It is an irritant to mighty Godzilla needing to be stomped and crushed!!
175-0!!! CRUSH THEM!!!!!
Yea, nice pregame speech from UNCC. Coach"team we probably going get an @$$ whipping but that check is going to be nice for the University"They have played North Carolina and LSU. They haven't won a game. We really don't have anyone to lessen their pain. It will be another beatdwn but their check will look nice.

Bryan College. Then only about 500 students, from all over the US and 20% from overseas. A rich, cosmopolitan experience and (I didn't realize until I got to grad school) an excellent education. We also won NCCAA championships in cross-country and soccer during my years. An amazing moment in time, tucked away behind some goat fields in Rhea County.Walters State?
I dunno...In truth, this may be the only game of the season Kim might actually consider NOT having the team relentlessly pressing the entire game. It would be a good one to try out some things she may not yet be comfortable trotting out against tougher competition. We'll see what she's thinking soon enough.
Great points. Yeah, the staff may have to stay on them constantly in this game to keep them on their goals track.I dunno...
There's a line of thought that says disciplined play is most challenged when facing lower competition. And they still have to learn how to play with each other, to know intuitively where each teammate likes to run in transition.
Now, CKC might ask Coop to keep her hands in her pockets on defense after the first half, just so her teammates get to play some half court defense.
I think the worst thing that is likely to happen in this game will be the number of rebounds we'll be able to collect without blocking out. We had been improving on that during the last two games, but those fresh habits could be easily (pun intended) lost overnight.
The second worst thing from this game might be losing their sense of pacing, which showed improvement in the second half against Iowa.
Whatever happens, I feel confident CKC and her staff have a checklist of things they want to see from each player... and each LV will know immediately if they're playing their way onto Santa's "naughty" list.
Hard Ass Santa image invoked. A stare that cuts through you…I dunno...
