Game Thread: SEC Tournament First Round. #18/14 Lady Vols (9 seed) vs. Texas A&M (16 seed). Wed., March 5, 11 am ET, SECN

JMO, but I think the LVs have two of the most attractive, well-dressed and well-spoken female coaches in basketball.
Nikki, Kellie and Kim are all attractive women, and they all do a nice job in front of cameras. Kellie has improved dramatically from the first of the season to now, and that makes me happy. She's so much smoother and naturally conversational in her commentary now than she started out being. She was nervous to begin with, so was leaning on some comments she'd obviously planned. Now she's in the moment and more relaxed. And Nikki Caldwell has always been relaxed and confident -- a real natural.

Watching the post-game press conference and Kim just said she's been surprised by how physical and long the SEC season is, and that they will do a better job next year of managing that over the 16 SEC games.

So glad to hear that reflection and awareness.
It is way different from mid major and the officiating is uneven at best. Refs can determine a game with their calls and they have several times this season.

I don't see where these minutes will affect anyone tomorrow. A great job of managing the team as most of the players are in the teens and Cooper just 23.

…and a NET boosting forty burger to boot!

I know close don't count but were about 10 points away from being a top ten team. 1 vs Oklahoma, 2 vs LSU, 4 vs Texas, 3 vs Georgia. If those 4 games had went different. 26 and 4 and 12 and 4 SEC. That is why I say forget the 8 and 8 the system will work you need 1 through 10 talent. We have maybe 1 through 7 that can play it fairly well and only like three or four that can play it very well.

This is fun. Edie makes the ESPN highlights in tournament play!

A “forever moment” for a scout team hero who gives her all for Tennessee.

Just got in and went to the computer to see how we did today, and my eyes landed on your post first!
A score that (thankfully) contains no ambiguity, and that beautiful, carefree smile on a precious practice warrior!

Thank you for composing that post! You made my day.

Mush as this group downs Kellie who is no longer coaching this shows her class to interview kim.. and no one can take that from her, because most of you would not be able to do that if u gotnfored from your job and had to interact with your replacement, of if u beark up wit someone and u gotta be around the new mate

No comment about Dari Nowkai attire tisk tisk.

There is NO question that She has more class than the snarky prolific NEGA’s in this forum. Bet Her LVFL status was and is solidly intact in Pat’s eyes, and I will go with her.

What if it was your job? Which it was and why would she not interview her? She had nothing to do with her losing the job that was all on her. If I had a job that required me to interview people it shouldn't matter if it is someone that has a job I previously had doesn't make sense. Maybe it would be hard for her to interview Danny White certainly would be a lot worse situation that interviewing Coach Kim.

This.

No WAY would Kellie hold it against Kim that she replaced her. If anything, Kellie may have felt bad for Kim if she felt maybe KIM felt awkward about it.

Higgenbottem is a short little player that just went 15 of 24 from the field. Arkansas lost a lot this season if not for her it would have been even worse. She is an awesome player stuck in a really bad place right now not going to win there anytime soon.

It is always awkward even if it is your job when you are in this situation. It takes a person being able to put aside their feelings to handle this. Has nothing to do with "it being your job". Kim has the job she had and is coaching players she coached.

Additionally, with the role Kellie is supposed to be able to ask the tough questions - I'm sure she is thinking how to ask questions without the crazy Vols fans making a big deal of her questioning things she should be questioning.

And on the flip side, Kim needs to understand it is Kellie's job to ask those questions without reacting to the prior coach questioning the decisions she may make.

Tough position for both of them.
