Tennessee is in the driver’s seat.. I have to be honest I knew Jewel Spear was elite but at this point what I’m seeing from Spear as a shooter is done right unstoppable!

SC, Bama, Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M, or Vandy aka candy will have an answer for Jewel Spear.

Spear is what social media and the SEC is telling folks some other players are in WBB.
This LVs team is about to send shockwaves through the SEC..

Agree: Spear's play was OK but rather underwhelming in the first half of the season--but she has shot the ball very well in the last
three or so games, including from the 3-line, and that's made us better. The team in general has had two/three straight games in which
our shooting has been good--and much better from the 3 line. It's what we (every team, really) needs to be good offensively, obviously.
Shooting percentage determines the outcome of most games.

It's been said many times before, but Spear is benefiting so much from the defensive focus on Jackson. Before today's games, according to HHS, Spear was in the top 10 in the SEC (for SEC games only) in: points per game, FG%, 2pt. FG%, 3-pointers made per game, 3-point %, FTs made and attempted per game, points per play (1st), points per shot attempt, effective FG%, FT rate, A/TO ratio, turnover percentage, foul percentage, PER, win shares, offensive win shares (1st), and player offensive rating (1st). Pretty phenomenal what she's doing offensively, and I think her defense and rebounding have improved quite a bit in her time at Tennessee so far.

I understand why folks don’t like Creme, but he is historically very accurate with regards to the teams getting into the tournament. I think his final bracket prediction last year had 66/68 teams correct, and the year before he was 68/68. When it comes to seeding— he is far less accurate.

Another super game from Spear. And yes, she is benefiting from all the attention on Jackson, for sure. But also now that Tamari has become more of an offensive threat (though not so much today), that has benefited Spear and, well, everyone.

It's a team game, and as others have said, having three threats makes the entire team better.

It's good to see the players going jard and getting these must-wins. Looks like they're having fun again.
