She’s just not a true point guard, when u have a player like Spear struggling as a Pg u try to get her easy shots instead of forcing shots up for yourself.

Unbelievable how she was a complete no show. Luckily, Paopao disappeared as well, but between her, Fulwiley and Johnson, SC outscored TN 13-0 at the SG spot

Hard game to lose. Sara Puckett sure had a nice game went 7 for 10. When you shoot 32% it’s hard to win. I’m so proud of how hard they played. As always go Lady Vol’s.

Got away with fouling for the entire 2nd half and Tennessee wasn’t even allowed to contest shots.

Hollingshead regression has hurt this team. She should be an asset--got a big body, is fairly athletic, has a nice shooting touch (even though she misses way too much---but she's been mostly a cipher instead.

Powell just ran amok tonight. You have to play within yourself--be a PG. Loved her energy and competitiveness, but 17 shots with 4 made? She was out of control too much. And Spear had a big fat 0 points for the game. No, you're not beating anybody with that kind of offensive offensive play from your guards. We were 2--17 from the three line.

At some point cars run out of gas

They definitely kept us in it for 3 quarters but you can’t go that brain dead in the fourth. Spear disappearing this game really hurt. We needed one more consistent scorer tonight.

What a game! Wanted more than the moral victory, but definitely got that. So proud of our Lady Vols, our Team And our Coaches! We just showed on national tv what we can do, even without a roster and bench full of 5 stars. Recruits watching, they’ll see they can fill a need.

2nd lowest scoring output for SC...something to be proud of. They pushed them hard, but their frontcourt depth was just way too much. I thought the guards would be more of a factor, but it was really decided by the play of the 2 frontcourts.

I thought Tamari could do more against Kamila, but she was barely a speed bump for her.

Oh well, on to Nashville!

Powell was an illusion. 12 points on 17 shots is never good. At least Tennessee was getting the offensive boards in the first half; SC cleaned that up but good in the 2nd.

Getting out-talented. Not out-coached, not out-hustled. Just out-talented. Or out-recruited, if you will.

We got pushed around inside, we aren’t nowhere near a top 10 team. We gave effort tonight but we are lacking at so many levels. Our point guard needs coaching and discipline in her game. Our team doesn’t play with a high basketball IQ and that is a reflection of the coach.

There are no awards for playing a good game and losing, however, the ladies played a good game. If they had put out the same effort all year long there would be no doubt that they would be in the upcoming NCAA tournament. They have a chance to be in the NCAA tournament but they need to continue to put out the same effort we say tonight, especially on defence.
