Game Thread: Tennessee (15-9, 8-4 SEC) @ Vanderbilt (19-7, 6-6 SEC) 2/18/24 2:00 pm EST SEC Network

I need Sara to stay aggressive. She keeps tending to disappear after she has a great game.
She didn't shoot well but did have 4 rebs and 2 assists, just one t.o. Also had a little somethin somethin w Justine.

But Jewel had a day, and all we really need is for one of Jewel and Sara to score well when Rickea plays like she did today. When both play well we're cooking.

Only 12 t.o.s, the improvement mostly due to Rickea going way beneath her recent t.o. average, only had one!

LSU will be ready, we beat them last year and want their revenge, it will take our best game to beat them, our toughest test yet.
No question. We'll be underdogs, even at home. Will take our best game, but suddenly that doesn't seem out of the question. Seems like a switch got flipped this week.

To me this is the best team we will play things season, so if we can pull this off I’ll have more confidence going forward. That’s just my opinion and that’s what I think.

Kind of hard to judge since we played Ohio St and Indiana without Rickea. Hard to tell if they were that good or we were that bad. So Carolina's no sloutch either, not sure LSU is as good as them. Not as deep.

It's the Morrow/Reese duo that worries me. They both have 15 double doubles this year! Will be interesting to see AR rebound against TK. She will not be going over her back like she loves to do.

I just don’t believe u need depth to win it all, u just need a bench player to step up when it’s needed and that’s not every game, just look how LSU won last year, barely any bench production until it was needed.

We measuring the team now by beating Vandy?

Well, yeah, since they're the latest team we've played.

We'll know next Sunday if we're actually peaking at the right time ("peaking" being a figure of speech since there's lots of room for improvement).

After all, you were the one who said that we weren't "even in the same zip code as USC and LSU" unless "they play bad and we play over our heads." Thursday night's game seemed to disprove that theory pretty handily.

We’re not, USC is just keeping games close till about 5 minutes left in fourth quarter then they turn it on then beat you by 15 points or so. Did with us and did it with Georgia today. I think they doing it so it don’t look bad for other teams

You're right, they're bought off.

Always knew all these games were rigged, just never had confirmation until now.
