some stats are not worth keeping.

I've always said +- is a stat you look at over a long stretch 10-12 games because a 1 game sample size can be deceiving. Also +- was created and used for teams that play 7 and sometimes 8 players in that scenario it told you a lot about chemistry. Playing 10 players every game and with different sub pattern if player has fouls. So. IMO for this team with unorthodox hockey subbing it may take a whole season to get a handle on +- and chemistry patterns.

We need to punish Tulsa in the pain… Latham and Hollingshed and Spearman should have big numbers and touches today

Looking for a lot of second and even third chance points today. Should get up close to 80 shots and if so making 40 would be 80 plus threes which should be less since we should be able to get to the basket at will. I'll say seven threes which would be 87 so how many free throws? If we don't outrebound this team by a lot were not putting out the effort. Just a couple of players over six feet tall. I don't think they can guard Cooper or Whitehorn and along with Spearman, Latham, and Hollingshead should control the boards. I'd look for over 20 offensive rebounds.

They do press, but Spencer, Cooper, and Boyd should be able to beat it easily and they should be vulnerable to giving up layups if they press to hard cause Spearman and Whitehorn can really run the floor.

Love an early game because we don’t have to wait around all day for it!

Lady Vols 102-64

Curious to see how we look in game three of three in four days. Didn’t think we looked tired at all yesterday and we were able to rest some players a bit.

The way we sub nobody is regularly playing over 25 minutes though. Very creative way to ensure load management in a long season. We don’t have any kids beating their body up playing 40 minutes.

Sam did look stiff, thinking she does have a contusion or bruised knee. Hopefully she’s moving better today.

Well said me too! This team is so fun and honestly I've never watched much lady vol basketball. Forgive me. But caldwells style of play is a lot of fun to watch. We're good at every sport these days. We are blessed!
