Game Thread UT "Lady Vols" v UCF "Knights"

I mostly agree, but unless you're talking about stamina, if Cameron Brink can go hard with her physique, Justine should be able to hold her own strength-wise.

And, yes, I realize that Brink has a lot of wiry muscle. But she still looks as though a strong gust of wind could displace her twenty feet.
BS. Brink is a lot stronger than Justine right now.

The lineups are maddening. Starting doesn't mean much. But it's working. As many said, what Puckett, Jill, and Justine in particular needed was just to play. And they have blossomed.

Everyone played well. I thought Powell played well, 5 assists no turnovers. Walker had one of her better games. JH also 5 assist, continues to shoot better and overall be solid.

Whatever's going on w RJ, it feels like it's hanging by a thread. And she's so,so darn good. Has immediate impact. I thought she gave very good defensive effort. I've said before, she's the total difference in this teams long term chances. Please, please work things out.

Now to see if all this good stuff translates against an elite team.

24 assists, 6 turnovers.

Wouldn't have thought we could do that in the gym alone.

Pretty incredible. I still think we're going to badly miss Tamari defensively, especially once we hit physical SEC play, but I do think our offense is much less predictable and dynamic now. There seems to be a lot more space for movement and cutting without the ball - and you can see actually see players looking to make a smart pass to a cutter!

And have to give it to Walker for stepping in as the starting point guard the last two games (6 assists and 0 turnovers combined). I love what Powell brings but perhaps starting each half with Walker's experience with the program is helping settle the team.

You make some good points at times when you want to so I know your BB knowledge is good and what your saying is necessarily not true, just saying lets wait until the game is over to discuss where they are. With the way this season has gone so far I can see how some are not so confident.

Like I said, easy win...

Lots of folks pondering that! 😏

Jasmine Franklin is such a powerhouse undersized post!

Jasmine Franklin is a fully grown woman out on the court. Most college players I can see and feel that they are still growing up. But Franklin puts me in the mind of those seasoned veterans in the WNBA who are there to do a job and know how to focus on getting it done.

i adore her game and wish we had a couple more years with her!

Reminds me of watching the 1992 Dream Team. Take out Jordan, put in Barkley. Beats me...

Wow, from Jordan's Bulls to the original Dream Team? They need to play mid-majors every game...

Agree, spacing is much improved. Cutting g is a thing now! How about Pucketts bounce pass while falling out of bounds?
