it is a major story. It is going to be discussed on this board
I don't know what your connection to women's basketball is in general, or the Lady Vols in particular, but you have made this kind of pronouncement with regard to two Lady Vols this year. The first was when you declared that there was no way that Tamari Key was as good as Elizabeth Kitley. This despite the fact that a comparison of their stats last year showed Kitley with a slight edge in offensive stats and Key with the edge in defensive stats. Although a comparison of this year's stats would not tell the story of this season for obvious reasons, in their two head-to-head competitions, Key outplayed Kitley both times. Key held Kitley well below her 18 points per game average - 4 points last season and 6 points this season (while playing with a significant health problem that limited her effectiveness), while scoring in double figures herself. Obviously, in my opinion, not a factual circumstance that supports your declaration! As to Pissott vs Brink, we haven't seen them go head-to-head at this point. And, since Brink is a junior and Pissott is a freshman, it might seem reasonable that Brink, who has had the advantage of being in Stanford's strength and conditioning program for three years now, would be stronger. But to declare her a "lot stronger" with the limited information available at this point seems to me to be a little premature. But, you go on being sure in your declarations.BS. Brink is a lot stronger than Justine right now.
Then it should be fair to point out that it's sad that this topic should be "discussed" (AKA speculated about in the absence of facts) on a night when we won by 35 points and got valuable experience to our bench, seeing a lot of growth.
You'd think that the oft-discussed "turnover" topic would be a central point to celebrate tonight. Only six turnovers and 22 assists!
Six turnovers. Just six.
Great job, staff and players!
they kept saying E Darby scored her first point Sunday but actually she hit a 3 the first time she played so Im thinking she has a total of 5 pts
It appears that KJH is trying to ascertain what combinations work well together. I trust that she knows that such random lineups do not work against quality competition, especially against a team like Stanford. I believe we will see a different strategy against Stanford. I would love for KJH to find a way to work Justine into the rotation. This young lady could be someone special. I still wish Suarez would quit playing out of control, she is a better player than she has been showing. Is it just me ....I thought Pissott look more athletic /agile tonite and played better than any time this year.
Substitution and lineup patterns are still a mystery to me .Looks like Coach is putting names in a hat and randomly drawing out who will start and then who she will sub for next.Hope her strategy works come March ....that is if we have enough wins to be selected for big Dance by then ....
Been pondering your dilemma. SECN+ is free on the ESPN App, which is also free. If you have a computer, tablet, or cell phone, you should be able to watch the game, which is usually available to see, on demand on the ESPN App.Is there any way for us old folk, who don't have sec+ to watch a replay of the game?
You forgot Franklin?Favorite stat of the night: Powell and Walker combining for 9 assists and 0 turnovers in a combined playing time of only 32 minutes. That stat would have been unthinkable last year against any opponent. I know some people have been down on Powell, but she can be our wild card in winning games if she focuses more on assists than trying to drive for a layup.
Starting 5 barring disciplinary problems need to be Powell, Jackson, Horston, Hollingshed, and Puckett, with Striklen and Tess getting ample backup time for the final 2.
